  2. I am planning a build with the following items: 3 Iraggi alts 6 Batteries (optima or kinetic) 1 Rockford T800.4 2 Rockford T30001BD This is the planned wiring diagram. ***All wire is 0 Gauge*** Did I do this correctly or is there a better way to wire this up. I just want to get as much power as possible to the amps!
  3. The reason I am leaning towards the one on ebay is that it reads both volts & amps @ the same time. It also has 0/1 gauge input / 0/1 gauge output. I haven't been able to find any other brands with these features.
  4. Have you guys ever seen, heard of or used one of these? Are there any other high end brands on the market? I was thinking that these might cause a slight voltage drop? Just looking for opinions on these or something like them. http://cgi.ebay.com/1-0-Gauge-Inline-Digit...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. here is a pic from the show of his truck from the side! Please notice that the center caps were not even on the wheels!
  6. my experience with the ZX series amps is that they suck balls @ anything under 2 ohms. But they are rated for 2 ohms so you can't really complain unless you forgot to read the specs before you bought the amp. They are wonderful @ 2 or 4 ohms. I've never ran any other loads with the ZX series successfully.
  7. These are basically brand new wheels / tires. I bought them in April & bolted them up for a show. I have had them on my truck for a total of 3 weeks since april. I am thinking of selling my truck & will have no use for the wheels. I'm not sure whether I want to sell them or trade for $ + gear. I am interested in the following equipment though: 2 Rockford Fosgate T3k's 2 Rockford Fosgate T4k's 4 Rockford T1 D2 12's http://www.hubcap-tire-wheel.com/panther-realm-c.html
  8. I just wanted to say that Michael Vick is a freaking idiot! I'm not sure if he was just taking the advice of his legal team or if he truly thought that he could beat a federal conspiracy charge. I'm here to tell you, beating a federal conspiracy charge is just like running a Rockford T4k on a Alpine Type S 10" @ 1 ohm! You can't freaking do it! Conspiracy is when you talk about doing something or know about something that is happening & talk about it. I truly believe that he should have spilled his guts about the whole mess as soon as the feds questoned him about the dog fighting. If he would have cooperated from the very beginning & pled to conspiracy, none of the horrible truths would have been let out. He could have simply held a press conference & explained that he heard about dog fights at his cousins residence & did nothing about it. Conspiracy is a big word that means "I'm screwed & I better take the deal!" He could have probably just paid a big fine & salvaged his career. But he wanted to be "Gansta" & try to say "F__k the feds", "they ain't got shit on me". Dumbass! Now he is really screwed! He will be wearing this jacket for the rest of his life. I'm not condoning what he did at all. I am totally against dog fighting. I am an animal lover & responsible pet owner. But I have also had my fair share of legal trouble & this dude is a freaking moron for screwing with the feds! When you catch a conspiracy charge, there is no way out. Either cooperate & be labled a rat or keep your mouth shut & get screwed. Either way, it won't be good.
  9. This is a massive show with lots of magazine coverage! I plan on going if I don't have to work. Holla if you come & I'll show you guys around town. http://www.midnightfantasiesshow.com/
  10. If anyone knows where any other threads of Rizzle's truck are located, would you please post them. This is just too freaking funny!
  11. The funny thing is that this was done as a joke. We totally expected everyone to laugh their ass off when they saw what Rizzle's lazy ass had done (no thanks to us). To our suprise, it was the total opposite. I would have never thought in a million years that so many people would be fooled into thinking that those wheels were actually bolted up on that truck! I guess nobody thought anyone would be silly enough to simply sit a set of 22's next to their factory rims next to their truck rather than actually put them on the truck! I still can't believe it got into truckin magazine!
  12. Ok, here is the deal. My friends & I were in this car show a few months back & my boy Kris A.K.A. K' Rizzle was running a little low on funds for new tires. Well he drove his silverado up to the show on his factory wheels & had his 22's in the back of the truck. We were just gonna jack it up @ the show & thow the 22's on it there. Well we got to the show & we were all pretty smashed so we did feel like doing much of anything so Kris just desides to put the 22's right up against the factory wheels. They are in no way, shape or form, bolted up to the truck at all! Just sitting there up against the factory wheels. Well it looks funny as hell, kinda like a dually but with 2 wheels in the front on each side also! Well we were sitting there ragging him about it & people started coming over to his truck & taking pictures! People really thought they were bolted up to the truck! We sat there all day & laughed our asses off everytime sombody made a comment or took a picture! Well, after the show I never really thought much more about it until today. I was looking @ a trucking magazine with show coverage from Gator Drag 07' & there was a pic of K' Rizzle's truck! I almost fell over! I could not believe it! He made truckin magazine with that crazy ass idea! If you look at the picture, it actually looks like the wheels are on the truck. It looks retarded, but trucking magazine thought it was custom enough to put it in their magazine! Check out the pic. Here is a pic that I took at the show of his truck from behind: http://www.3rdcoastcustoms.net/files/g76.JPG This is the link to truckin magazines pic: http://www.truckinweb.com/events/2007/0709...w/photo_08.html I still can't believe it!
  13. I thought it would be cool to post some recent fishing pics. Check out my fish! 5 Lb. Speckled Trout 54 Lb. Black Drum 37 Lb. Black Drum Redfish 22 1/4 & 23 Lbs Redfish 24 Lbs. One of those really good fishing trips!
  14. We gotta have a thread for UFC! here are the fight cards for the next 3 big events! UFC 74 UFC 75 UFC 76 I'm sure we can start some discussion about some of these matches!
  15. do you have the reciept from HDA for the T4k? Birthsheet? Can you take a pic of the serial # & post or email it to me. would you be willing to trade it for anything else other than a D3? I can get you a brand new D3, in the box never opened if you really want 1. I also have bypass instructions which I already posted for the D3. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...ic=4604&hl=
  16. well i thought the point of the $250 software was to help you build a bad ass SPL box! I realize that freeware programs like blaubox or win isd might not give you very acurate results with true SPL readings, but Term Pro has the Term Lab software built into it! I just figured that term pro was the best software out there to give an accurate SPL reading without actually metering the vehichle. Is there sny software out there that will give me a more accurate SPL prediction? I will be getting a meter soon. I guess what you are saying is let the software give me a ballpark box size & just build the box. Then meter it , rebuild it, meter it, until I get the results I am looking for. basically just use the software as a guide, correct?
  17. yeah I was thinking of making interchangable ports. The guy from kicker tech support (Wes) said that I would have the best results for all out SPL with the 37 hz port but I was thinking higher also. I just wanted to make sure I was doing all this correctly.
  18. I am in the planning process of a new box. I already have the subs. Here is a list of the gear going in the truck. Dual HO alts 0 gauge wire off each alt 4 Kinetik khc 2000 batteries 2 kicker zx2500.1's (give or take 650 watts per sub) 8 kicker solobaric L7 D4 12's I called Kicker & they gave me their advice on the best possible SPL box for this setup. 3.59 cu ft per sub (28.72 cu ft total) 40 sq inch port, 14.5 inches long (37 hz) Port demensions h=21.88 w=21.88 d=14.5 Kicker says that shit will beat! So i put the info into term pro & this is what it gives me! I am looking for #'s in the mid to upper 150's. Did i simply import the wrong data? is something wrong with term pro? do i need to change the ohm load to account for a dual voice coil sub? do you guys have any software that comes up with different #'s? I did a build with 6 L7 12's with 2.25 cu ft per sub, 4 ports tuned to 37 hz & hit 150.1! I know these #'s can't be correct. Maybe I am reading this graph wrong? What is that green REL line for & what does it tell you? Do i just need a crash course in term pro? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. This is a pic of my wifes Sharpe. He had a drinking problem & we had to get rid of him!
  20. I got this email from the LSU ticket office this morning. I can get up to 8 sets of tickets. I am getting 2 for myself. If anyone is interested PM me asap. I have to order the tickets @ 8 AM central time tomorrow. I am not looking to profit off of the tickets at all. Just give me what I am paying for them + shipping to you. If I had the cash I would buy all 8 sets & sell most of them on ebay. I really can't afford that though. Anyway, holla back if anyone is interested.
  21. as a shop owner I can tell you that it is very hard to do online sales & have much success. There are thousands of online electronics stores out there. I have my own shop & I work out of my house. (no over head) I do all the work myself. (again no employees = no over head) I catch hell trying to compete with EBAY pricing! Most people that sell online have a huge inventory of products. I buy small amounts of products from my distributors in order to keep my over head costs down. If I bought 1000 amps or woofers at a time I would probably get a much better deal, but what the hell are you gonna do with 1000 woofers when an 18 wheeler pulls up @ your house? Take Big P's advice. Start out small. work from home or rent a small garage & build a solid client base. do good quality work. it won't take long before everyone will come to you looking for a deal rather than going to the bigger shops across town. you can under cut their prices because you have no over head costs. I hope this helps, it worked for me.
  22. I found this website & they claim to help you get sponsered. If your application gets accepted they charge you around $100 for a setup fee or some crap. anybody ever heard of this site or have you guys tried this crap before? here is the link for the application: http://www.carsponsorships.com/scout/sponsor.php?id=11173 They also have what they call a "scout program". They claim that it's free to join! (I Joined) anyway, they give you banners & other HTML to imbed on your website & they pay you $5 for every application that someone fills out & is accepted that came from your site. supposedly they pay you commission if someone buys something, they said they send the funds via paypal. Sounded like a good deal to me. I posted a few of their links on my website last night. What do you guys think about this? is it legit? is this kinda like those google ads steve told us to click on every now & then. here is the link to the scout program. let me know if I am getting screwed around! http://www.carsponsorships.com/scout/index.php?ref=11173
  23. well my brothers truck was a daily driver. he had dual alts but only 1 was HO, the other was stock. The charging system just wasn't designed to support more batteries. I know that you guys have been doing this stuff for awhile & I'm open to suggestions about this. I was taught by Roger Hill (acoustic Edge institute, Houston TX) that adding more batteries won't solve a power problem if you don't have a charging system to support them. stock alts are made to charge 1 batt + run the car & not much else. The normal vehichle needs about 45 - 50 amps to run properly. now HO alts are made to put out more juice so you can, most of the time run 2 batteries on a HO alt. In a SPL vehichle it is cool to have 50 batteries because you are gonna burp 1 note for a split second. but a daily driver is totally different. I am going to run 3 alts, 1 stock, 2 HO, 2 yellow tops on each HO alt, & hopefully 2 of these damn stinger caps.
  24. well I did a build for my brother. 3 rockford Tk1's, 6 kicker L7 12's, 1 rockford T500 for his highs, dual alts, big 3 upgrades, & a batcap 400. we took the batcap 400 out just to see how big of a difference it made & got the same volt readings without it as we did with it. I really was not impressed with the 400 at all. maybe it was too small to make a difference? My sales rep told be that it was equalivalent to 200 - 1 farad caps. I can assure you that 200 - 1 farad caps would have made a huge difference!
