Ok, so im still in the designing stages, but if i go with 1 inch mdf would bracing be necessary?

So im putting 2 15 inch Re SXX in a aero ported box. Would it be overkill if i used 1 inch mdf, braced it and doubled up for 2 inches on where the woofer is mounted?
