Would definately help increase your chances. It's a good sub I agree, budget sub at that. People just know there is better out there. Noone really hates on it as long as your not going around saying, Oh my Sony Xplod 1000w max blew out my back window. It would sound alot better in a ported box, seems as if yours is sealed?
