I understand this. I am concerned with the crank amps, the voltage looks normal.

I scored a Kinetik HC2000 today. Essentially new in box used for a month. I plan on installing it soon but I am worried abut it. A little background on the car. 95 Impala, Interstate Megatron Plus Dual Terminal 78 Group Size up front, 800cca, 1000ca battery. I plan on adding the HC2000 in the turnk with 1/0 wiring and grounds. I am concerned that there is something wrong with the battery, but it might just be me? I got it from a friend and I tested it at work today with our ED-18 hand held Interstate Battery Tester. It had 12.6 volts and 300ca's? I thought these things were supposed to have like 1500 cranking amps? I 12 volt 2 amp charged it for about 20 minutes which brought the voltage up to 12.8, (surface charge) and it tested at 500ca's. I am hoping the tester at work just doesnt know how to test this type of battery. Is there anything else I can do to test/check the integrity of this battery? Thanks in advance.

You don't need a Y splitter bro, just use one side or the other. It is not gonna be clean on one side and dirty on the other, it's stereo it is the same on both sides, so you can just use one side! I understand that. My RCA's wont plug into the DD-1. My RCA ends are too thick. Just need something external from the plastic case the DD-1 is in to plug in my RCA's. put the probes on the amp with the freq. up and the gain all the way down. You can test the deck directly THROUGH the amp like that. Yes, I could, but I also have another question/issue regarding doing it that way. Due to the fact that I mess with all old school amplifiers in all of my vehicles, changing the frequency to all the way up is a pain. If you remember the old Rockford Fosgate DSM waffle style amps have crossover x-cards to change from 80hz low pass, 80hz high pass, and full range from the backside of the amp. Is it necessary that I change all of my amplifiers to "full range" to set my gains with the DD-1 or can I leave them at their current settings? IE- mids/highs 80hz high pass, and sub amps 80hz low pass? What is the consequence? Thanks for the help.

Got mine today, thank you. Im having trouble setting up the headunit max volume. I need to get a "Y" splitter so I can plug my RCA's into the DD-1. My RCA's wont go into the DD-1 case.

Mine us suppose to be here tomorrow. I am excited to set up both my cars, and my wife's truck. :) It's also going to be fun to see if Im distorting where the current settings are............ Thanks SMD.

By asking for order numbers I was not trying to stress out Steve @ SMD or anyone manufacturing this product. I understand it is going to take a while, its already been over a month. I was simply asking members that have received their items to post their numbers so we know where we stand, and give us something to look forward too. Example: Order 300 shipped, and Im 357, so another week or two depending on manufacturing. Much appreciation to SMD and D'Amore Engineering for an excellent product. Its not a bad thing to be behind in making the units. It means that it has to be a damn good product and the customer response is more than you expected! LOL. Cant wait to see more info on the AMP DYNO, killer concept. Keep doing your thing fellas.

You guys that are receiving your DD-1's can you post your order numbers for us? It might help some of us figure out when we should expect our product to arrive.
