I just wanted to hear rustys opinon on the matter. And if that is the case that dc amps are pretty much the same as aq or audiopipe then why is it worth the extra money to buy a dc amp when u can spend less and get basically the same amp with a different logo. And if this is true them dc amp prices are crazy!

Some guys over on ca.com are sayin ur amps are just rebadged aq's and audiopipes!

its not a verse thread. just looking for some opinions ,info, and just a little general input. im not saying one sub is better then the other, they all make a great product. im just up in the air as to what to get. im not trying to get my post count up i very rarely come to this forum. just looking for input is all

You can probably throw FI in there also since that would open up more options to you.Like BA said its going to come down to your budget and what power your putting to them and also personal preference. You cant go wrong with any of them honestly. Just make sure you get something that can handle 4k if thats what you plan on throwing at them. So what amp are you planning on powering these with since you said 4k? 2 dc 2ks

im really diggin the abs, the look pretty beasty, and iv already ran dcs, and have been recomended the havocs by a few people. its not a verse thread im just lookin for peoples opinions on what they would run, not saying anyone is better then the other.

i thought the lvl 3s were underated and could handle 1000 rms, atleast iv seen alot of people and heard alot put that kinda power to them with no problems.

i dont think my headunit has a bassboost setting, its a alpie 9885, the loud setting is off, bass is at 0

that is what i thought I'm assuming you don't use bass boost and you haven't cranked and settings up past where they were when you set your gains right? no i dont use bassboost, gain was set the way the manual tells u to set it crank lowpass, turn of ssf, play track 3 turn gain till clipping light cmes on back it off till it goes out. then set ssf at 30 and lpf at 80.

rap music, shouldnt be playing below tunning the ssf is set for 30hz, most of my music is pretty clean and i run it threw audicity first. how do you know it is set at 30hz? and "pretty clean" doesn't cut it when over powering AND using a box that is too big well the lowest is 10 and the highest is 50 so i have it set at 12 oclock right in he middle should be 30. You need to watch some of the CC-1 videos and see just how far off those dials can be. well how u supost to know?
