  1. I'd say its a heat shield. My Del Sol did the same thing, took off the cat and the heat shield fell off into pieces then just put it back with new bolts from O' Reilly due to the originals being so rusted Edit: The rattling that is. I dont know about the O2 sensor. Im no mechanic either but my o2 sensor is right on top of my cat under the chassis
  2. Im looking into getting this amp to run 2 8" RF P1's but im going to be upgrading to RE RFX8's soon Does anyone have any experience with this amp? or anything similar. its CEA compliant but i cant find any reviews on it http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44495_Hifonics-ZRX500.2.html thanks
  3. not to be rude or anything but why Kenwood?
  4. ok thanks i will go with a sealed box then.
  5. side question, for a common chamber ported box what should i do the volume to, could i use the recommended ported volume out of just one of the subs or do i have to double it. aka if a subs rec. ported volume was like 1ft^3 would you build the box to 1ft^3 or 2ft^3? by the way i have decided to go with this: http://www.vminnovations.com/Product_14488/MTX-TR5510-04-Thunder-10-Inch-600-Watt-Single-4-Ohm-Subwoofers-Pair-.html 2 mtx tr5510-04, the pack of 2 is only $80 just wondering for the box, that decides whether i go with ported or sealed
  6. how does the P2 stack up against the: re rex 8 ($50) kicker comp 8 (2 for $100) infinity reference (2 for $120) kicker cvt ($75) mtx rts8 ($65) RF p1 ($60) or the polk db8 ($60) and now this turns into a VS. thread.... which as most of us know are no-no's so before this turns into a battle of the brands, just pick the one that has the highest RMS power handling. you're not gonna hear a difference between subs in that price range and im not trying to say whats better i just honestly asked what was the difference in them. all i see through comparison is very minute differences
  7. its all good i figured it would come down to more brand association. im deciding between the kicker comp 8's infinity reference 8's or the fosgate p1 8's (i would get the p2s but the d2 are $80
  8. ho how does the P2 stack up against the: re rex 8 ($50) kicker comp 8 (2 for $100) infinity reference (2 for $120) kicker cvt ($75) mtx rts8 ($65) RF p1 ($60) or the polk db8 ($60)
  9. the dc looks good but you cant get them online can you? and there is no dealer in my area. and i think im going to go with 2 8's. im not sure what 8's though. the SA's are a little pricy for my setup if im going to get 8's i dont want to have to throw a ton of power at them so <500 watts since the alpine makes my lights dim as is, my car has a small alternator. do you think id be able to get 2 decent 8's for about 130-160?
  10. ok only thing is getting 2 of the 8's will put me at 270 plus i would need a bigger amp.
  11. im thinking about the sa-8's and the sa-10. so should i go 2 8's or 1 10? and ive seen the sa-8v2 is coming out. would that be a good investment?
  12. so budget i wanna keep the sub under or close to $200 dems: 34 w 9 h 12 d it will probably be ported if i have the room
  13. I need to find a sub or 2 that gets loud but box size is an issue. i have a max of 1.7 cubes so im thinking a 10 or 2 8's? 10 is the max i can go in diameter. im going to be upgrading amps depending on the subs i get, my current amp is a Alpine MRP-500 500rms @ 2ohm im welcome to any suggestions just nothing ridiculous.
  14. and the port just for the length would be too long and would run into the sub so i had to knock off like 7 inches by doing another l
