  1. I've been playing around with it's just a little confusing to me right now but I think the more I work with the more I'll figure out thanks.
  2. Cool thanks again for all the info guys.
  3. Do you think I should build it sub up port back like the picture?
  4. Ok thanks for the info. I love this forum.
  5. Any suggestions on how many cubes I should need? It does pretty good in the prefab box it shakes the whole damn truck on that little amp, but I'd like to get the most out of it I can.
  6. I have a ford explorer so space isn't to much of a concern and right now I'm running a pioneer 760 the specs say the amp does 380 x 1 bridged at 4 ohms.
  7. Hi I have an old memphis power reference 12 and I can't find any enclosure recommendations I can find the specs and everything on their site but nothing about enclosures. I have it in a prefab box right now I know I know. That's why I want to find the recommendations so I can build my own box so if any of you have built a box for one and remember the dimensions that would awesome or know where I can find them I would be greatly appreciative thanks.
  8. http://www.jcwhitney.com/cab-floor-repair-panels/p2010825.jcwx?filterid=d1163y1995c15280u0j4Found these on jc whitney I don't know exactly where your rust is but maybe this could help you and as far as other materials and tools it depends on what you already have because welders and stuff like that can get really pricey.
  9. Just depends how much time and money your willing to invest and if it's worth it to you or not. If's its worth it to you I say go for it I like a good challenge myself.
  10. It all depends on how you set up your box with this calculator, since my port is on top, the length of the port is actually the depth(width of the box), hope that clears that up for ya. yup makes sense now just looking at it wrong thanks
  11. i 'm sort of a noob here so this is probably not the smartest question but wouldn't there be a gap between the top plate and the port walls since the box 18.5in tall and the port is only 14.5in shouldn't the port be 17in tall?
  12. yea i can see were that would be annoying was this at idle or driving down road?
  13. i see a lot of people run a yellow top under the hood any particular reason for this or would i be better off just getting the xs power d6500
  14. i've got an 03 xls same stock alt, mine charged a D3400 up front and D2700 in the back just fine. on roughly 3000rms i had very little voltage drop like 1 volt full tilt. a D6500 is a factory replacment under the hood. oh ok i'll have to check that one out thanks
  15. I was just checking out the xs power batts. and was thinking if I got a d3400 for under the hood I shouldn't need a second batt. right?
  16. no boat or capacitor so I think the lakes around me are safe
  17. does anybody know of a battery that is pretty small but powerful. I don't have a whole lot room because it a 03 ford explorer with third row seats and i was hoping to keep the third row usable
  18. alright i guess that was quick and painless no caps.thanks guys
  19. ok thanks for all the input. What do you guys think about the newer stinger digital capitors are they any good
  20. it's an 03 ford explorer and the stock alt. is 130 amp
  21. I'm hopefully going to be getting back into to car audio soon and to date the biggest amp I've ran is a memphis 500d. With that said I've been liking what I see with the new Sundown sa8 v2s and plan on running two of them when money allows and I have been thinking of either running a Sundown 1200d or 1500d to power them and a fosgate pbr 300x4 for mids and highs and was wondering if i could get away with just getting a better battery and doing the big three. What do you guys think will I have to upgrade the alt. or should I be ok.
  22. thanks for all the input guys this forum is the best!
  23. I'm planning on getting two of the sa8 v2's when I get some extra cash and was wondering if the saz1500d would be a good source of power to them? And also I was wondering what the ideal ported enclosure would be for them? I have an 03 ford explorer with third row seating not a whole lot of room about 10" tall x 10" deep and just over three feet across the back. Hoping to keep them behind the third row. Any suggestions?
