  1. I have no criminal record, and I did all kinds of crazy/stupid shit when I was younger. Not having a record has no baring on behavior or innocence.

Robbing a convenience store and assaulting someone, that's a different story.

my response was in response to the earlier comment that he had a criminal record. if you look back you will see how i feel about him robbing the store.

    :ninja:

  2. Sensai- we can agree on most things.

However what must be taken into consideration here is, we are judged by are actions and the company we keep. So when you have a criminal history and are caught on tape doing a strong arm robbery. How can a person not come to a conclusion of ones character and state of mine, at the time of the incident. Plus one's postings and pictures on facebook does tell you some what of one's character.

Now this does not mean he could have turned his life around and become a contributing citizen later on in life. Of course he could have. But when these situations happen, you are judged by the way you are currently living life.

This situation should be another example to all, you never know when your life may end. And how do you want to be seen once your life is over ?

More people should think about, how the youth of today are being raised. Regardless of those whom seem to getting away with misdoings in life, the majority of us will have to answer for our actions.

You can take the road traveled, being a law abiding and productive citizen. Or you can walk the line of being a criminal, always taking, causing pain to others and loved ones, and never contributing anything good to society. Then their will always be those who try to walk that fine line down the middle. Not knowing which side they will end up on. Until usually it's to late.

It boils down to you and only you have control of your life and how you live it. In this day and age anything is possible. People should stop making excuses about being held down for one reason or another. We all know it's bull shit, but to many people are afraid to stand up and say it. This is america, not some third world country. You get out of it, what you put in.

i agree but you do know that he had no criminal record correct? The mike brown that was posted with the criminal record was NOT him.

  3. Sorry guys just not able to post.. wow so much to say..

Let me start off by saying this.. and I think most of us will agree here on this

None of us know what went on.. None of us were there. So its not far for ANY of us to make a judgment based on incomplete facts. That's just wrong. While there are going to be some that will not understand nor are educated enough to see we need to see EVERYTHING before a fair judgment could be made you are going to have others that will support BOTH sides ( cop as well as Michael) without knowing anything but solely based on race.

I think we also can all agree on this. That "IF" any of us were to have shot and killed a cop and we would be locked up arrested and it would be up to us in order to prove our innocence. No way in hell would we be able sit and wait under protective custody for the prosecutor to gather information until they felt that they had enough to charge us and THEN ARREST US.

Within us all you are going to have good apples and bad apples.. Even one bad apple can make the rest of the good apples look bad. While i am not saying that ALL cops are bad which i agree that are not.. there are PLENTY of cops who abuse their authority and violate the rights of American citizens. This has been proven to happen to those who fall within the law.

There needs to be some type of consequences for those cops abusing the rights and they should be held to the same standard that WE the American people are held to!

Now we move to whats exposed on social media... and how "some" think that social media shows what a person's true character is.

I totally disagree with this statement. You cannot judge a person solely on whats on their social media. While i am in no way picking sides i am mearly speaking for myself here. Most people think i am a certain way based on how i am on this form. BUT anyone who will tell you once i am met in person i am the coolest motherfucker you will ever meet and will do anything to help you. That has been proven. Also some of us that are a bit older know that during the time we were 18 we were no angel. fuck if some of you knew some of the shit that i did while i was young most would wonder how i am even here on this earth today. Lets not judge on social media and what pictures you can see there.

As a people we will never get anywhere unless we respect one another. while this seems like it will take years to some or never happen i still have hope and will continue to do what I CAN to make that change.

We here at this form have seen time and time again what happens when we band together. what happens when we all have a single focus to help people. we have done things on this forum that has gotten national attention.. and race was not included.

So lets wait until BOTH sides come out. lets not let the media skew what we think until we see all the FACTUAL information first. we are all better than that.

  4. I don't have anything to say about the incident that took place since there is not enough evidence for any of us to make a decision on what really happened. However, Police are not doing their self any favors either, I seen on the news (CNN) where one of the news men for CNN got shot with a rubber bullet and he was showing it on the news. News man said and showed video of a peaceful protest when all this happened.
seems kinda backwards to me. Why have a show of force with armored vehicles and all the military gear. Seems to me that if the officers had been on foot with the protesters to make sure it was peaceful they could have better seen the few in the protest that were causing the problem, instead of just lining across from the protest and firing at all of protesters, majority of which did absolutely nothing wrong.

because there are no consequences for anything that the police have done.. Period

  5. Hate to say it, but I had to go into Army mode and give my wife a briefing last night. Scared the Hell out of her, but considering what I used to do for a living, I have some experience with people trying to kill me, and how to deal with that. Hopefully I'm just being overly worried, but I can see this crap spinning up in other cities.

It's a shitty time guys, everybody watch your asses and be safe. If you can arm yourself, I'd recommend it. If not (for any reason, where I work I can't even have a firearm in my vehicle in the parking lot) remember that as long as you're in a vehicle you're in control of a +3,000 lb weapon, never get out of the vehicle for any reason, and speed is safety. Combat Convoy Training 101.

i dont think that it will happen. this is a matter between dumb idiots who were looking for trouble and out of control police officers who were violating the rights of the american people. There were so many wrongs on both sides.. sad day really.. looking forward to see how i am going to be seen here at work today based on my "educated" views

Sensai, I think and hope you're right, but I didn't get my ass home from Iraq in one piece giving people the benefit of doubt and assuming they weren't malicious shitheads out to get me. Some may call that paranoia, but I'd never forgive myself if something happened to my wife and I didn't do everything I could to teach her to protect herself, especially because our daughter is with her 95% of the time.

I'm still hoping a little reason and rational thought overtakes all this jackassery, and that people on BOTH sides of that issue can see what really happened and admit there may have been some wrong-doing on both sides. You can't pin this whole thing on the officer, nor on the kid he shot. I honestly believe both could have handled this differently, and two lives (one is dead, one will never be welcome in that community again) wouldn't be completely ruined as a result.

i completely agree. After seeing on the third night how the rights of the peaceful protesters were violated and how they were hit with tear gas and rubber bullets i went out and loaded up on an ar vest and gas mask. i think we have only seen the beginning.

and as being part of the military i thank you for your service sir

  6. point in case..

IF ANY OF US AS USERS HERE WERE TO HAVE SHOT AN OFFICER OF THE LAW WITH THE SAME FACTS GIVEN.. WE WOULD BE LOCKED UP. PERIOD. AND IT WOULD BE UP TO US TO LAWYER UP AND PROVE WHY WERE WERE ABLE TO DO THAT.. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED HERE!

we would not be granted the leniency of waiting for prosecutors to gather up all evidence and present a case in order to have us arrested.. we would be immediately arrested.

can you imagine what would happen of someone were to have shot an officer and NOT arrested and not only that but able to leave and be in protective custody? to an officer of the law?

  7. I have absolutely zero fear of anything like that happening where i reside. Zero fear.

I just cant believe id see a something this bad, haveing to do with racial issues.......

Da fuq, are we in the 30's?

    sad... fucking sad .......

really this shit hurts my heart.. Goes to show you that there is still an underlying race issue in America. Deeper than what most throught... Way deeper than what some thought.

    :ninja:

    exactly how i feel.....

    i feel let down actually.

Maybe my head was/is burried in the sand, but i truly thought we were better than this. I really did.

In fact, i still believe the younger are looking at them and really wondering WTF is going on.

But your right,.. it seems like the forward movement, was maybe not where i thought it was. And that, bums me out, and makes me feel shitty.

i feel ya man and i just dont have the words.. just dont have the words..

  11. i seriously dont know what to say.. now you have both sides beginning to be divided even more.. blacks taking up for the blacks having no clue what happened and whites taking up for white because the blacks are taking up for the blacks..

who knew we would be experiencing this in our young lifetime..

    just fucking sad..

    n8 im coming over

  12. With technology where it's at there is no reason that all LEO's across the country don't have video recording for every interaction that occurs. Furthermore, less than lethal rubber bullets in all their guns will stop any assailant in there tracks without killing them. Instead of buying these things that I just mentioned they get assault rifles and god damn wheeled tanks? WTF?!!

in some cases that type of firepower is needed. the cameras and storage for those cameras are not cheap and some police forces are unable to afford to outfit all of their police officers with them. the pentagon is the one who was distributing the type of weapons and vehicles to the police departments. Last year alone there were over 480 MILLIONS dollars of equipment sent to departments for FREE.

i dont care that they have the type of firepower they do as sometimes they need it but i do care about how they use that firepower and when

  13. What that cop did AFTER he got out of the police car was pure murder( REMEMBER THESE OFFICERS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE TRAINED AND SKILL AT THIER KRAFT). Even the chief said that the cop knew nothing about him being a suspect in the shoplifting case. So in all this kid died because he was walking in the middle of the road. Even the chief says the same thing. And i believe is called shoplifting not robbery, there is a difference. ALSO WHAT IF THIS WAS YOUR KID. We as parents can't be with our kids 24/7 but we try to teach them right from wrong. Why did he follow brown after the he shot him the first time? Why did the policeman get out the car and shoots him in the back. Why after Brown got down on his knees with his arms up, still get shot several more times. why haven't they released any video from dash cam, All the cops have to say is " Oh he was reach for the gun" and we should take his word for it.

as a person who has followed this since say one and when i say follow im talking in regards to all the live feeds, ALL news stations as well as from some people that are actually there, there is so much wrong with what you just said its not even funny.. and this is coming from an American that is labeled African-American.

    1) your right brown should have not been shot in the street.. If you look at the surveillance video from the store, thats where he should have been shot! That store owner should have been packing and as soon as the grabbed him by the throat and shoved him and then came at him in a threatening matter in an act to do harm after stealing from his store he should have had a few rounds put in him then. Never should have made it up the street.. you dont come into someone store no matter the race.. steal and then push them and act threatening to them when they try to stop you.

    2) there are no reports that the cop followed him so why dont you wait until all the information comes out in regards to that matter

    3) there is no dash cam video because there was not one installed in that car. There were only a few selected cars that actually have it installed

    4) that was a strong arm robbery. Shoplifting is when you take something sly and leave and if you get caught you are not violent. he was not only violent but threatening and should have been shot in the matter the acted against the store owner in which he just stole from

and last no we should not take the cops word for it.. you should never do that as the majority of cops lie ( in my opinion) but that is a choice that michael decided to do. it is nobody's fault but his own. if he would have never went to the store to steal in the first place then there is a good chance that NONE of this would have happened. Karma is a bitch and sometimes it comes in the form of a cold ice dead one.

the family of michael should send an apology for the robbery that took place in their store..

dont forget this is also coming from a black guy

  14. There are just a few things i would like to bring to everyone's attention, then i will end this discussion.

While trying to play the devil's advocate, these are some of the issues that trouble me.

1- We now know what the victim had done earlier in the day, which helps in understanding his mentality and character.

2- These witness statements dont seem to jive together.

3-Also In this day in age, where it seems everyone tries to video the police catching them in wrong doings. It is a little off putting when there is no video of this, with all these so called witness's. Unless there is video and it shows the officer may be in the wright, might explain why we aren't seeing any video of the incident.

4- We now know the officer had to be treated for his injuries, which would lead one to speculate there was a combative confrontation.

So while my sympathy goes out to the victim's family, we should also remember what the other side is going through.

and while i agree with some of your statements here there is a issue i have with #3..

In this day and age yes most people are trying to record the police and there is a need and reason for it. It has been proven multiple times and shown how the manner of a police officer changes once they see that they are on video. This is a fact! While it may see a little off to you it could just be that no one was there to film what had happened. Plain and simple. I believe that ALL citizens should record the police. For their safety and for proof, because time and time has shown again that police do lie and lie alot. its very hard for them to lie when you have audio and video.

glad that there can be a discussion between 2 people who have somewhat different views on things and nobody gets called out their name or gets banned or heated! This is what adult conversation and debate is all about.

Now off to buy some ammo

    :good:

  15. Was their maybe to much force used, yes. But it's not the police's job to tell you the law, rather than to inforce the law. It is every citizens job to know the law. Ignorance of the law, is no excuse for breaking the law.

and im not arguing that fact.. im arguing the fact that to much force was used..some type of punishment needs to happen.. and if i did the same thing at the cops as what they did to me then i would have been shot at with live ammo.

ALL DEPARTMENTS of law teaches you that you only point your weapon at someone if you feel like your life is in danger and you are ready to use lethal force to protect your life.

having a sniper rifle pointed at a persons head who has their hands up in the air yelling no justice no peace is not a reason to have that.. nor to have an ar pointed at you.. no a reason for you to get gasses ilke those media guys from the al-jezzure ( sp) got gasses for no reason.
