I believe they want a smaller size box because the motor force will be a fucking ton. So a small box will compensate the force while a big box will make the sub more efficient which means it will handle much less power

It looks brutal

What db are you hitting?

I'd contact your local dealer.
Ask people who live around you who deals sundown, they talk directly to Jacob etc

I have 4 D1 ZVXv2 15's on 2 2500.1's strapped at 2 ohm just like the manual says so 2 15's on a 2500 would do fine or a 2500 on each just make sure you have good electrical...
Master will has power to trophies to prove it. I'd follow his advice

I set it with car off and at -10 on max bass then see where -5 works

sounds like with those reading, giving you don't have an unforeseen ground issues. coax head unit, twisted amps
Yup this is with them standing alone. No power or connections.
Twisted RCA's for me
-
I got 20kohm on amps and .5 ohm on Hu
-
Everything unpowered and disconnected.
Resistance between the RCA outside conductor and the amps ground terminal.
General procedure:
<1ohm = single ended
~1000-ish ohms = balanced
No connection = your HU probly blew its pico fuse
So I guess my HU is SE and amps are DIFF so ill be going with twisted.
Thank you!
-
so where would I ground it on my amplifier?Use a DMM and measure the resistance from the RCA outside conductors to the device's chassis or ground terminal.
If you see basically a direct short, it's single ended (unbalanced).

Ok I have a theory.... LMK if this makes sense.
When I hook up the amp on my test bench both MRV1507 and MRVf407 (the other one is in my car)
The protection light flashs red which means: RCA GROUND FLOAT
This makes sense because I don't have a common ground on my test bench, its just a 120V to 13.8 10AMP converter and the signal is comingfrom AUX-RCA Y splitter (twisted RCA).
Basically this means the amps are SINGLE ENDED because it is looking for a common round between the RCA and the Battery (in my case converter)
-
So I've been trying to get this figured out and I simply cant.
I have a Pioneer 80 PRS and amps are Alpine MRV f407, F1507, T575 (Early 90's Expert series amps)
I have tried turning them on, sending a signal through, trying to check with it off, and sometimes I get a conntinuity check and other times its blank.
Can you guys please help me and also if you know if they are SE or Differential.
Thank you!

I need foam like that to cut and fit my stuff specifically. Where'd u get that?

That college kid did it even better!

Just tune the amp with the knob wide open. I have never had any issues.
I know, but after 6-8months the knob started to create distortion while I moved the knob, it was quite noticeable white noise. Then when I stop moving the knob the noise subsides.

I personally refuse to use the stock bass knob that comes with any amp. I use the lc1 in line RCA controller. I like the full control that it gives me over the input signal.
Has any of ur lc-1's ever induced distortion when moving the knob?
Congrats Matt Hart on his IASCA Record from the trunk
