  1. Check your speaker wires? Maybe something is grounding out?

I have bolt terminals 8 gauge direct leads to bolts wired in parallel then from bolt 8 gauge to the amp. Could the bolts be loose?

Any wire grounding out can really cause it, not just the speaker wire. You should see if the amp is turning off/protecting on the lows.

About to go check that now that could be it...

    Aight let us know!

  2. Low notes use more power, that's all I know. You could start drawing conclusions about how this might cause you problems from that alone but I'd test more. Back the gain off and see if the problem persists with the same track.

Pretty sure low notes don't always use more power. You use the least amount of power at your tuning frequency because that is where the impedance is the highest. 28hz shouldn't be too bad tuned to 30hz. My voltage always dropped the most at 45ish hz when I was tuned to 34 because the impedance was the lowest. Aaaam I wrong?

  3. @wrmcs: I got some card stock ready to trim up and use to centers gap. Card stock or white printer paper? I will just keep layering it in the gap until snug then once the glue is set on the spider and surround I'll remove it. Then rough up the cone only where the dust cap will touch it then I'll glue the dust cap on and wait another day for the glue to dry

I used like, overhead paper that AQ sent me with my HDC3 recone kit. The clear stuff haha. Anything paper like would work though.

  4. It was glued down rock solid I can say that. SA really has some solid equipment so it seems. I guess that's why I recall seeing a video of 2 v2's on a NS1. I just took my time with a smaller flat head screwdriver and a hammer and got really luck I didn't break through the spider landing. I'm glad good luck was on my side haha

Yea I even saw a post on another forum by Jacob saying those are glued down so permanently that you may as well buy a new basket.

  5. Another option is to use a 12v amp (if you have a spare or extra) and get a 12v power supply or converter for in the house

I do have another amp.. hmm. Link meh Caleb!?

I'm having a harder time than I thought finding a cheap converter, but there are many options for finding 12v. Any old computer desktops laying around you don't use have a 12v power supply, usually 10-15 amps. You could also bring in a car battery just keep it charged up lol.

Pricey, but Stinger makes 40, 60 and 70 amp 12v power supplies that are good:

    Mmmm okay
