Alright, I was just wondering. The price difference between the BL & BTL re-cones is small and I figured if I blow the BL I could gain a little more performance with the BTL re-cone. One last thing, will my Fully Loaded BL, handle 2000 clean un-clipped watts? It's in a 2.5cu.ft. box @34HZ.

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anything ever goes wrong with my new Fi Bl 12in., would it be possible to use an Fi BTL 12in. recone kit. Also, if it were possible, would I be able to get any more performance (More power handling) out of the sub with the BTL recone? Thanks

Amp gain is set with the bass knob all the way up and voltage matching the 41.2V at the max listening volume. Subsonic is between 24-26hz (10hz below 34hz tuning). Bass Boost is 0, and lowpass is around 125hz. Voice-coils are dual 2, wired to 1 ohm. On stock head unit w/ Audiocontrol LC2i advanced LOC wired to the stock subwoofer signal.

Everybody I went ahead and bought an AQ2200D yesterday. With the Black Friday deal, the final price was 380$, just couldn't turn down that offer. Now I understand pushing 2200 watts to FI BL is quite a bit, but I will rarely have it up all the way, and won't even think to touch the bass boost. Since I'm doing the BIG 3 and upgrading to a bigger battery, my only concern is will my JL Audio 2 ga. Amp kit be enough for the AQ2200?

Yeah I would go with the BC2000. 340 shipped. heard lots of good things about it Most likely, I'm going to return the Hifonics, and drop the 340$ on the Crescendo. The BC2000D seems like a very high quality amp for the price and will probably put out a little more than rated. The only problem is, I have my JL Audio 2 Ga. amp kit already hooked up, will it be okay for the amp? I also plan to do the big three in a few weeks along with a higher power battery (under the hood).

I've triple checked it, it's definitely loaded at 1 ohm. Now I realize 1700 clean un-clipped watts should be enough power for the FI, but I just don't think the Hifonics is putting out anywhere near that with the gain dialed in with the DMM to send out the clean signal.

I built it myself to FI specs. It's an L-Port box out of 3/4 MDF. Port area of 43sqft. w/ 17.5ft. per cuft. Do you think it would be safe running it off the 2200watts?

Good idea, I have been looking at those, but its 430$. Two times as much as I paid for the Hifonics. Is there any other quality amps that put out around 2000watts under 400$? If it comes down to it, I'll drop 430$ for a good quality amp, but I'm trying to find a couple different options

Hey everyone. I recently purchased and installed an FI BL 12 (Fully Loaded) in a 2.5cu.ft. box tuned @ 34hz. My problem is that I have a brand new Hifonics Brutus 1700D amp hooked up to it (1 ohm) and the sub just will not hit as hard as it should. Especially the lows, they're just not there. Now I know Hifonics is not great, but shit it should be putting out enough to get the BL moving good. It also seems as if the sub doesn't have enough excursion for the power being pushed to it. I have also dialed in the amp's gain setting with a multimeter & have the subsonic set at the lowest setting. I'm not sure what to do. I could return the amp and buy something like the SoundStream Tarantula 2000D. Need some opinions, I could spend around 340$ on the new amp. Thanks.
