Looking to get a new 4 channel amp. Currently running a Precision Power A600/4. I know that your supposed to keep crossover flat and loudness off on your h/u so i'm trying to find something with a little more tuning options. Or should I just try to find a eq?

Thanks a lot decaf, I'll go through and do it tomorrow. I'm in class till 10 tonight so it will be a little cold and dark. I could go up to 58 out of 62 with a clean signal

Well, when it's off I don't get hardly anything

Is there settings in the power off mode? I know if you turned the power off on the DEH there was more menus to change stuff

Loudness: Mid (without it I get hardly any bass) Subwoofer 2: 125 hz (currently +6) I think those would be the only two that effect sub? Any other ones you can think of or need?

I set the volume at 35 with the dd-1. I tested the output voltage and it's 4v. Look on pioneers website

I recently switched from a pioneer DEH-4000UB to a pioneer MVH-p8200bt and ever since any set of subs I have had are not loud at all. Both H/U have 4v pre outs, and I tested it with the new MVH. I purchased new kicker RCAs (which were needed), a Sundown SAZ-2500D (old amp: power Acoustik BAMF 4000/1d), and a RE XXX 15" dual 2. The original setup I had with the old h/u was the BAMF and two alpine type x and it was much louder. Nothing has sounded good with this new h/u. I may switch back but I wanna know why this h/u is making my subs sound like poop

Any suggestions? Not looking to get rid of the bass remote. I don't need full potential and I like to have control

I just recently bought a used SAZ-2500 from a guy on CL. It's in great condition cosmetically and works well. The only problem I am having is when I adjust the bass remote the subs "pop" with every click of the remote. Not sure why this is?? I have tried two different remotes an it does it with both. I also switched back to my old amp and it doesnt do it with that one

Is that a pretty solid price for the XXX?

It's the new version with a box for $450. Or he may trade for the W7's and add $150. Waitin for a final answer though. Yes I have heard it all before. The amp sucks and I know that which is why I said for now. I plan on getting a new one hopefully soon. But I'm running all 4 gauge till I get a new car then I will run 0. Not many of the bigger amps will run good on 4 gauge

I was looking into getting a RE XXX used from a guy. I have personally never heard one but have heard lots of good things about the sub being a spl sub, but he told me it is a good sq sub. It's one 15" dual 2 ohm. I am looking more for a sq sub but if it's a hard hitting sq sub that's the combo I'm looking for. I also have two 12W7's I was thinking about building a box for but haven't gotten to it yet. What's your guys opinion on the setups? They will be running off a power Acoustik BAMF 4000/1d for now.
