Idk it just seems weird how it seems louder inside and quieter outside...guess thats a good thing tho..and how should I secure the MDF? And yea I know that but even with just the pillows crammed in the two open spaces it was moving a lot of air through the cabin and if anything I noticed the lows were just as if not more deep then they were before.. -
So a little while ago today I turned my sa-12s around and forward faced them into the cabin..I stuffed pillows in the spaces on the sides of the box (which werent big at all) so it wasn't completely air tight but probably pretty damn close...Anyways I was VERY pleased with how it sounded when I was sittin in the car it was noticeably louder and I know it was because I could actually feel the air moving through the cabin and noticed more things inside were shaking and my front windshield was flexin on low notes. Now heres where my questions...excuse me if I sound like a complete douchebag but I have to ask it lol...On the outside of the car the trunk rattle was cut immensely which is obviously a good thing... but other than that the car sounded quieter from outside than before? Now I was in the garage, with front windows a little over half way closed, if the car was outside the garage and I had the windows down more would it be louder on the outside? Also what way should I go about sealing it from the trunk? I don't really like the sound of great stuff :/

Re-Cone Prices
BEEMDUB replied to sundownz's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
No, when you recone a woofer all you can change is the size of the woofer. IE you can recone a SA 12 into a SA 15 or vice versa. The sa-8 v1 can be upgraded to a sa-8v1.5 but not the sa-8v2 since its a completely different motor. When you are doing a recone you are changing the "soft parts" such as the surround, cone, spiders, and coil. At this time you can change to a larger or smaller basket and bolt it to the motor if needed but make sure you order the recone for the new basket size. The motor always stays the same, theres no way to change a 2.5inch coil motor on the sa into a 3inch coil motor of the zv2 or zv3 unless your buying a new motor, which at that point you might as well buy a new sub since companies dont sell just the motors. ok thank for clarifying! -

Yea obviously I would...but my car is at the shop getting a rocker arm replaced so I can't now.... I wasn't really asking if anyone knew the dimensions I was asking charger owners on here how big their boxes are... -

found these posts on other forums..I'd measure my own car but my box and all the stuff is in there right now Narrowest point going in 35" Narrowest in the trunk 39" and 46" from the back seat to the back of the trunk. 15" high needs to be 33inches MAX to be able to fit in between the wheel wells tho I know that -

bump still have this somebody please buy it I'm tired of lookin at it take up space lol at least throw some offers! -
true theyre only rated at like 40watts rms......but currently its the 3.5s in the dash, 2 6x9s in the doors up front, and 2 6x9s in the rear deck...when I get the super tweets I wanted to glass them into the a pillars
-
Alright so I'm gonna run Chan1: 2 st200s Chan2: 2 kicker 3.5s? Chan3: 2 BA 6x9s Chan4: 2 BA 6x9s It seems like alotta people keep tellin me to drop the 3.5s tho why is that?
-
Ahh I see what your saying.... Do you think my p400-4 could power all of those decently?
-
Alright so like this.. Chan1: 1 selenium st200 Chan2: 1 selenium st200 Chan3: 2 selenium 6.5s Chan4: 2 BA 6x9s I would only be able to afford two of the 6.5s at the moment so I was thinkin I could just run the two 6x9s in the rear deck until I could afford two more 6.5s..also whats better stereo or mono?
-
If I run both super tweets on their own channel at 8 ohm wont they not get that loud? And are you saying get 4 6.5s and replace the 6X9s? How do you figure?
-
If things go right tomorrow I should be getting a p400-4... and this is what I wanted to run off of it Chan1: 2 8ohm selenium st200 super tweets Chan2: 2 4 ohm Kicker DS350 3.5 (that are currently in my dash) Chan3: 2 BA 6X9s Chan4: 2 BA 6X9s Any problems with this? The only things I was wondering is if those 2 st200s running at 4 ohm wouldn't be pushed hard enough on that one channel? And would those 3.5 speakers be too overpowered on one channel at 2 ohms? If these are problems how should I configure things? I was thinking that adding 2 more st200s to channel 2 would be better?

fuckkkkk...ok heres what it looks like after I corrected the common port wall and subs up box Also do you mean that the rear sub will have loading problems because of how the port is below the other two subs? -
Planning to grab another sa-12 and make a box for all three subs up ports back tuned to 34 hz and around 5cuft after displacement does this look correct?
