the RF T8002 series is power hungry. I'd go with 2 group 31's. Definately upgrade the alt. Call Mechman. they have great service
-
From Tony's FB page
just use the speaker + and - for whatever channel you are trying to check. Don't use battery ground. We revised that procedure.

I'm running an arc audio 2500.1 and 300.4 (front stage at 2 ohms) so roughly 3100 watts total. I have a singer 270 alt and an optima yellow top under the hood. Do you think 1 d3400 would be enough for my setup? Or should I look into a d3100?
I'm running 3100 rms all arc audio amps. I have a singer 270 Amp alternator and an optima yellow top under the hood would 1 d3400 be enough for me or should I look into a d3q00
The 3400 is great battery.
If you can fit a d3100 or an XP3000, I say make it happen.

XS says do each battry individually. I did 6 battery still connected to everything , no problem.

many alternators charge at 13v.. my singer did too the only difference is that it held 13v with a load.. check connections and amp gain.. on my expo i would drop to 11v with a mechman that does 240a at idle set at 13.8v. set the gains with DD-1 and it was fixed..
During the summers in PHX. My Powermaster used would drop to 13.7 when it was 105+ out. Winter it would charge at 14.6. both numbers are while driving

I think batter 1 is gone. Battery 2, might have a chance with a reconditioning charger.
And spending the money on a good charger is always a good idea. I have a schmaker with a reconditioning mode and a start mode for my daily agm batteries. My batter bank get charged with a XS PSC 15 ( 6 batteries ).
I don't have any cheap non AGM batteries in any of my rides -
The line begins AFTER I get my pair.
put them in the Mustang to power those HX2 18's

When demoing, I'd set it at 14.7 at idle. And then put it back to it's hot temp of 13.8 at the end of the meet. I live in PHX, you dont wanna charge hot batteries at high voltage for too long.
I run a Mechman 370 now -
I used the AVBM on my Powermaster 200amp alt. but I only turned it up at Bass meets or competitions.

this is before fosgate joined with rockford
cool stuff indeed
ill give you a clue...Fosgate never "joined" with "Rockford". Rockford is actually the street they are on and that is how they got their name. Most people don't know that Now you know!
I was gonna correct that until I read this.

If the vehicle is running with decent Alts , that battery is supposedly badass.
-
Good question. When you try it, please post results
-
Very nice. People have been asking for a mounting kit or bezel for the Vu-Din for years.
some tint over the meters would also be nice. those things are bright. thats why I did mine behind 2 way mirror. -

How is this thread still going.
OP, I like your enthusiasm, but what you want has already been tried without great results. Buy the new Team or SP4 12 and call it a day. Or as CleanSierra says, get the one with the crossfire logo.https://www.facebook.com/163751923651416/photos/a.636710266355577.1073741825.163751923651416/1216919605001304/?type=3

Thanks for all the input guys. I decided to get in touch with DC audio and they stated more than likely one of the coils was burnt as a result of my box being too big so I'm going to have them repair it. Also I did have my infrasonic filter set to the 'on' position but I'm not too sure what frequency that is really set to. But anyways seeing as this is my second time blowing this woofer I'll probably just have to be more attentive to the recommended enclosure size to avoid the headache in the future.
Again T2000 infrasonic filter is at 28hz.
-
XL subs are rated to 2200rms so you are running the right amp to it, so the only thing i could think of is you were running it way below tuning and unloading it with that big of a box.
infrasonic/subsonic filter is your friend
-
Some additional info. T2000 amps are more efficient at 2ohm. On average the birthsheets show 2400ish @2ohm and 2300ish @1ohm. Also infrsonic filter is 28hz, do you have it turned on? Are you trying to play below tuning? I not sure what the power rating is for the XL.

Don't overkill it. I did, it's a waste of money.

watched the video. I don't wanna be a hater, but I'll wait for the Diamondboxx Jr.
The Astro has a ton of highs. but I am a Diamondboxx owner- 1
