wasnt sure were to post this so i figured the section for technical issues would be best since it is about adding somehting to the forum
on other forums ive seen there is a section that seperate the states into regions. i personaly would like to see this on here to. it would allow for people to get in touch with others in their area easier by posting in their region. could easily make announcements to other people in their area about comps, sales, events, or get togethers. in short it would help everyone know more about what is going on in their part of the world and keep intouch and up to date with local events.

I understand how the DD1 works. I own 4 of them. I buy them when people bitch about them....on the cheap...
I was just saying a WORKING, DD1 set sundown amp for this SOTM would be funny, and very cool.......
Maybe include the DD1 with the amp to the winner, so he/she can set it up in their car, and show the world the tool was NOT the issue.

i know exactly what your saying, just making sure any newbies to the dd-1 know. specaily the ones that beleive it destroys amps. still though for evertime the amp is set with a dd-1 and survives it is one more step above the other. to withstand such a force as a tool made to set a gain on an amp safely and still work great would mean it is one strong amp.

LOL, a WORKING, DD1 tuned Sundown amp.... would be epic..
would be one of a kind seeing how the dd-1 destroys sundown amps. you are forgetting one thing though, just because it was dd1 on his work bench doesnt mean it will put a clean signal out in someone elses car. it would have to be re-dd1 thus meaning once it survives the dd1 2 times it is the strongest sundown amp ever.

you guys do some great work, i just need to hurry up and move to the lower 48 so i can find someone i can pay to dd-1 and cc-1 my setup.

db-r, proud supportors of banning things for the users having no common sense.
db-r anti dd-1 due to user error, goverment anti gun due to metnaly ill. both want to ban the equipment and ignore the real issue.
the fact that they say its the dd-1 because of possible user error discredits their opionin that the dd-1 is junk.

it is possible that they could see this thread or other threads like this were we talk about haters and their lack of lifes then post a bunch of bs for the attention. could just be a trolling troll rolling through the emotions with no real self worth trying to make an excuse for his life long failures.
none the less, a simply reply with a link to this forum and telling them to find a thread or post with you in the wrong could shine some light on the truth.

if they cant provide proof of these claims isnt there legal actions you can take against them. i wouldnt realy think of it as worth the time but calling them and telling them you want proof of said issues or them to announce their ignorance about the dd-1 and explain that they were making false claims with no proof of such issues being caused by the dd-1. i see it like i see cell phone companies, they cant simply say we are better then so and so. they have to hire a company to test what provider is better before making such claims. the people claiming the dd-1 is garbage should have to hire a 3rd party company and prove themselfs or retract their statements and admit to their ignorance.

i only read a few posts there because i have other shit to do besides read the BULLSHIT on that BULLSHIT site. I have heard of this before but was giving DB-R the benefit of the doubt because they CANT BE THAT STUPID. But apparently they are.
I guess i have to go buy myself a Sundown amp and make a youtube video proving that the DD-1 won't hurt it. The DD-1 won't hurt your amp any more then an oscope will (and it wont) or a DMM (and it shouldn't either).

I am calling Sundown right now i don't care if i gotta drop $1000 to shut this FOOL up.
and this is how its done when you put your name on your work. you dont just do the work sign your name and be done with it. you make sure that the product works and works right and when someone tries to say otherwise you stand behind the product do what you can to prove it works.
this is why people talk shit, they talk shit because what you do is improve car audio and have a good time doing it while most of these haters are sitting around playing games instead of trying to make a name for themselfs.

an h/o load could help a lot. specaily if you plan on adding more to the system like a 4 channel for the doors. like you said though the stock batt needs replacing so i would go that route. chances are a d3100 will fit with little to no moddifications.
what truck is it anyways?

Going thru a few different sub enclosures. I think I came up with the design that will allow to run 4 of the level 6 18's... The enclosure will have the sub firing upward... Which worries me a lil cause of the room I have between the sub and trunk lid. Running my port on the side of the box facing inside the car... Now the enclosure will cut like .8 cft3 off each sub... This is just a thought still in process... Critic and criticize..but im not tryin to hear bs responses
how did everyone miss this, he said ported here but then later said sealed... picked the wrong place to fail and ask for no bs...

for me the led intensity is perfect & the location is above eye level so it does not affect driving...
thats good to know, mine is gonna be a few inches closer to the windsheild then yours but still up more of out of sight. gonna move my map light to the center of the car fill it with white leds and put the volt meter where the map light is angled back and down. just dont want it to light up enough to where it puts a blue/white glow that would make it harder for night time driving. could just use a peice of 70% tint or something to dull the light down to though. cant wait to be able to order one.

^^ nice, great idea putting it in the sunglass holder by the looks of it. mine is gonna be in the same area but right in the headliner next to the map light. when you have it open to see is it to bright for when driving? thats my only worry about where i want to put it.

the wiring would be easy. power wire to what you want to watch the voltage on (amp, batt bank, alt, distro block, front batt), remote to h/u remote, negative to closest ground. not rocket science, if you can wire an amp you can wire a voltage meter.

wish i could get in on one of the first 100. oh well the kids had a great x-mas. picking one up with tax return maybe even 2. gotta keep an eye on the amp voltage and the alt voltage since it will be externally regulated.

think maybe a petition for them to hurry up could work?
would also like to point out that they didnt move out because of it taking to long, they heard its gonna be your next big build and didnt want to get caught in the airflow.
if he has a plan he is making us wait. if he doesnt i would say its because they are still doing testing on the subs he is gonna be using.
