  1. Here I will help, start reading http://www.knukonceptz.com/kitreview.cfm Thanks, I was kinda wondering what you guys meant by "That is not real 4gauge". Also, I'm glad someone else has looked into this, I would have never known.
  2. You should stop posting for a while and do some reading. Asking is more direct, and includes the variables of my particular situation. However, I understand what you are saying. I've done quite a bit of reading, but I didn't know to research brands of wire manufacturers. I never thought that was something to research.
  3. Boo ... Well I'm glad I asked first. Do you know about my other question? I have about 5' of 4Gauge I'm not using, I could ground my 2nd battery with that, but I don't know if it works that way or not. My first battery is hooked to the frame with 0-Gauge.
  4. If brand does matter, would it be okay (when I get my 2nd battery) to just ground it to the frame? Or do I need to run it to the Negative terminal of the primary battery? I would think just grounding it would be okay, though I've been wrong before.
  5. http://www.crispdeals.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RPR425&click=3344&gdftrk=gdfV21146_a_7c364_a_7c4885_a_7cRPR425 As far I know that is one hell of a deal, but I don't know about the site.
  6. Thanks, that is one less slap I'll get from my lady when I tell her what I bought... I suppose I should build a box with hinges and a fold out on the inside
  7. lol I would, but all I see is some voting thing. As soon as I vote it tells me I have reached some kind of quota I used a Y-Shaped RCA to allow me to hook up 2 amps on my front and Rear. The Sony is my rear and it has 2 rear signals running in. I think that is what were looking for...? Not sure...
  8. You got it. This forum needs rep points. However, a great big Thanks! will have to do
  9. Yes, sounds strange I know, but that amp is not meant for component speakers. Only one channel has a hpf, and I don't have enough for 12crossovers yet (similar setup in front). I love the clarity of this amp though. 100db Signal->Noise-Ratio and I bought it a while back.
  10. I'll draw a diagram, please tell me if I'm doing what you are thinking;) brb!
  11. This will be my rear sound, and at the moment if I can avoid buying another amp, I would very much like to do so. I just bought 3 more SSD 15"s, $200 of wire, and will be spending about $400 on XS/Auido Savings battery sale. Once again I set a budget and skull-Fked it. lol. My lady is gonna kill me It's my old Sony 600watt, I have the tweets on the other channel. This guy: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_36645_Sony-XM-GTX6040.html
  12. I have 6-6x9s I want to put on one channel, same box, same amp, same channel. 4-ohm each, all SVC (surprise surprise!). amp is 2ohm stable, I don't know if it's 8ohm stable. I would think, but it does not say. Thanks! EDIT: It is NOT 1ohm stable.
  13. Put the yellowtop in ur hood in the xp in the back ! Thanks, does it matter which I get? xp950 or xp2000?
  14. First, I don't know anything about batteries. However I asked in another thread and wanna recheck the answer here. Can I run the xp950 or xp2000 as a 1st battery, and then have my Optima Yellow top as a second battery? or would I run into issues? I don't know anything about chemistry. Thanks!
  15. K thanks, and the XS is cheaper because of some sell, (half the price) so I'll go with that, then I'll hook the optima and the XS together. Thanks!
  16. Last Bump: Current Questions: 1.) how do I wire the 2nd battery? pos->pos and neg->neg? Or alt->pos and both negs->frame? 2.)Is the XS xp950 the same as This Optima? I currently have one of these Optima Batteries, if the xp950 is similar came I put them together?
  17. Is the xp950 the same as the Optima I was looking at, but for half the price?
  18. Hey also, would I be better getting this: http://4xspower.com/xp950/ From the look of it, I would be getting the same amps for half the price.
  19. Very cool, thanks! How would I wire my 2nd battery though? Hook positive of both batteries together, or hook positive of 2nd battery to alt? Also, would I hook ground to ground, or would I hook my second battery to frame (which would also connect my batteries).
  20. Will do, Last question (I think). Do I need to add any extra protection to my amps, speakers, headunit, etc. with an additional battery, and/or the DC alt? obviously I need to add fuses for the battery, but I don't know if more voltage will change any fundamental aspects of the system. To elaborate, I have read many times that 16v amplifiers will die really quickly on a 12v system. I don't know if I'll be 16v or not with the DC, but if so, does that rule work both ways? EDIT: Just thought of another question. Should I run power line from my 1st battery to my 2nd, or should it be powered right off of the alt? Also, should my 2nd battery be grounded, or should it run to the negative terminal of the 1st battery?
  21. Well that is wonderful news! Also I will be upgrading to a Hifonics BRZ(?) 2200, or 3000. Would I need the DC-Alt before that upgrade?
