  1. yup thats exactly what im doin with my truck.. except i gotta bench seat so i can fit 4 wit the box in :)

im not saying that design wont work but imo i dont think thats the best place for the port.. ask amatt he would know

that was just a quick thing i put together, i dont care where the port is, he will kno where it will sound best, id just like it to fit in that small spot, but still pound

  2. not sure that port idea will work out so great..

put it anywhere idk, have it poiting strait over the center console, id just like it to fit in that spot, that way i can still carry 3 other ppl around instead of makin the extended cab into a 2 seater

  3. still havent answered the question ha!

youd be suprised how loud it can get in a truck.. my cab is really small so i can get damn loud compared to others.

well we will see, hopin to have complete pics and be entered in sotm march..:D

  4. yep

ok, ill get those to you tommorro, you do understand a basic idea of what id like tho, not to sure my idea will work, but i have an idea? size of one seat space, rolls over onto floor, sub firing up, port on ground? 37 hz as small as possible

    untitled.jpg

kind of like that, but thats a horable drawing, lol

  5. wondering the same thing. i have a feeling u will be REALLY suprised how much bass u get...and i would also think u could get into the low 140's at the highest...thats about what i do with two tens and 1200watts...

i offically love you guys, now im like totally excited :D:D

so amatt, if i get some rough measurements tommorro, think you could help me design a box?

  6. have you had a sub setup before?

id say in a truck 130 is low... im hittin like 143 with 2 12s diamond d6s off like 1300 rms.. the amp could put out close to 2000. if you make your box right id say high 30s.. possible low 40s.. depending on box setup and what not..

trust me.. it will be alot of bass.

yes, i have, but in a x..lots of room so easier, not in a truck with low amounts of space, so i have something to be hopeful for, just depends on box i suppose....so i guess im excited? and happy? shit idk, ill just have to wait till i order the shit and get it in to see what it does, i do like alot of bass, and a 140 would be I.N.S.A.N.E with a single 15

yea they avg round that mine all avg 1350ish which is still nice....with a proper setup yea and a good box you should be def 130's, what vehicle it going in?

04 f-150 extended cab, i dont wanna take up to much space so i was gonna try to design or have som1 help me, a box that takes up the middle spot, and goes down to the floor (rolls over the seat) have sub fire up, and port on the floor to around 37 hz, dont kno if its possible, but i dont see why not, just want it small as possible

should keep you happy for awhile 1000watts rms is still descently loud

ive heard the t1k does about 1400 rms, and ive heard this set up should do around 130 db?? not expecting anything, but i hope at least a 130 with 1400 watts to a 15

it will be a good amount of bass tho right?

  9. nahhh when they say "too hot" that means you put to much MEKP in the mix.....like ill put 8 or 9cc's of catalyst in for a 16oz cup and its perfect but if i was to put 20 cc's of MEKP in the same mix it would litteraly start smoking and get hot enough to melt the cup. Usually that can also warp whatever your working on too if you start layin it on with a mix that was "too hot"

If you stick with the right ratio on the mix, the heat outside (like Hawaii) will only lessen your work time because it hardens up faster but it shouldnt warp. If its hot outside you can use a few cc's less of the MEKP.

thought they ment like speaker heat, wow ima tard, ok so yea..anyway if it could happen steve has thought about it

ill just roll with that, lol

If you get the t2k get the level 5....

45 day wait on the lvl 5, ill just stick with a lvl 4, will that get loud enuf with a t1k, 800.4 and 4 rockfor 5 1/4 power components? and will it be alot of bass?

with CLEAN power and knowing what your doing....

clean power being what? im running rockford speaker and rca's, and 2/0 power and ground? ive heard the clean power thing alot tho, what xactly does that mean

  12. just get a t3000d. Will be the best if you wanna get rf amps

dont wanna go that big, i want a nice clean single sub set up, so if i was gonna, id get the t2k, just dont wanna burn the sub

  13. meh...I run about 1,600-1,800rms I think or more everyday

    the stock level 4

    should take about 2,300rms daily

well i am getting the lvl 5 coils, but i dont wanna burn this thing up, and how much of a difference would a t2k make in loudness lvl compared to a t1k

  14. ok, but i plan on putting rockford 5 1/4 power components in the doors, 2 sets total off a 800.4, do you think that will be able to compliment bass, and will it be a good amount of bass in the 150, ive never heard the dc's before, so im goin off word of mouth...i like alot of bass, but i like my music too

so should i just stick with the t1k, and not try it?

  15. James had his amp shut off last night, and it has not turned back on yet. I'm gonna trouble shoot it tomorrow with him. Is there any way his amp could BLOW, it is fused at every spot, up front, before the positive hits the amp and before they hit the battery in the rear?

    Christian

yea there is, there is always a chance, i have a 300 amp fuse on my 2000 watt amp (off brand) fired it up for the first time, cranked it, heard it pop then shut off, checked fuses they were great, amp now is always in protect (have a really heavy paper weight now) hope you can find out whats wrong with it, maybe its just a easy fix
