The coax set that amp should be fine for it then dont know if you have considerd this yet but digital Designs also makes door speakers and sets here there are sevral different sets and different kinds just search on there website for them
this is stupid, but i wanted to do all rockford cause there stickers pwn..!!! and they sound good, but you think those rockford coax would sound pretty nice for what i need?
-
Well are you going to run these off of an amp and ya these are probably your best deal you are going to find for the money

that was the amp i was getting for the door speakers, are u talking about the set with the 2 tweeters, or the coax set i just posted?

Well woofers etc has alot of the things you might be looking for also if you are having problems finding adapters for speakers you can make your own adapters like if you have a 6.5 inch speaker and you only want a 5.5 inch speaker then you can take 1/4 inch wood and cut it to fit it
the space in the door is for 6x8/5x7, i have been looking at what rockford fosgate offers to fit that, in the front door there is a spot where there is a tweeter too, right now all i can afford (since ive bought other things for it) is the door speakers, i wanna do the hole thing in rockford fosgate, but i want decent bass from the door speakers, so thats kinda what im lookin for right now, and something that wont break the bank, i can do a component set and build something, but would just be easier to do a drop in....any tips on speakers, idk too hard to decide since no1 around me carries these speakers

or should i do these and then put a power series set of tweeters up top?
IDK!!! i just want rockford, good sound, they hold decent bass cause im only upgrading the door speakers atm
AHHH so many decisions, lol

Is this a 4 door or ext cab what and rockford power compnoent set would sound awesome in there
4 door, but its extended cab, all the speakers in are in the doors i was wanting to do the hole thing rockford, rockford 6x8s up front, i was lookin at those 2 way in the door, and the tweet up front. i was going to move the back seat up a little bit and put 6 12" shallows any1 think that would sound good? but just for right now im wanting to put the speakers in the door, i have the ebay link on there right now

ill just do it simple, any1 know of any 6x8, 5x7 speakers either 2 way preferably 3 way that handle a good amount of bass?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rockford-Fo...Q2em118Q2el1247
are these the door speakers, AND a set of tweeters? and if so, any1 heard anything good about them...i was really wanting to run rockford
-
you could use these and wire in a second tweeters in the out put of the crossover for the tweeter. pretty much instead of only using the one tweeter that would be on each door just add a second one to the tweeter output of the crossover

i sent apm too. not exactly what you are looking for but you might like this
http://www.caraudiodeals.com/kicker-ds6802...802-p-1224.html
i saw those ones already, but i was trying to find something that is a exact template of the speaker, but instead of the full size, it is like the 5 1/4 on the bottom and the tweeter on top, all in the same size bracket of the original speaker, cause i then wanted to put an additional tweeter on the top where they put the "extra" so i have 2 tweets in the front door, 1 extra, and 1 component set, and in the back door have just a component set

i like the kickers a little better to me they are more responsive
ok i was looking at those more...found the mounting plates, but they come in a alpine kit, and i cant find them anywhere else

ok awesome, thanks a ton....any1 kno how some rockford components would sound in there with the stock sub (upgrading l8r) but just for now ill put those in...and i can never deside which sounds better, rockford components or kicker, ive been lookin at the components steve used in his honda, or the kicker ks series..AHH so many decisions

tryin to find out what size speakers are in my truck, its a 04 f-150 with the audiophile sound system, aparently it has the speakers on the doors like normal, and some tweeters up front along with a sub in the back....i think there 5/7, 6/8 in the doors front and rear but im not sure...and does any1 kno where i can get a bracket thing to put components there instead of the 5.7-6.8 if thats what they are?
thanks

See told you I saw some re shallow's on here somewhere...You have any videos of the cvt's?
those are the cvt's, box is 7 inches deep from front to back
hey david thanks a ton for tellin me about those re's, those look sick...any1 heard any of those yet? or are they even for sale for that matter?

Your happy with the cvts? The guy I talked to bashed them and he's a salesman making money for the company. I wonder what they did wrong? The cartunes place is actually a reputable business and they sell jl audio so they aren't a crappy shop so I wonder why they sucked? Actually he recommended the comp series over the cvr and cvt line. Which those are the least expensive of the entire kicker line! If not kicker he recommended the pioneer shallows that they sell 2 for 200 bucks but they only sell the premier line. I've personally installed the pioneers and I was really shocked how those sounded. Good luck finding something out! Somebody was saying something about RE shallow mounts subs somewhere on here. You know the way they rep RE so I'd imagine those would have to be good!
id love to stick some re's or fi's in there but dont wanna lose all that space, i have 2 12" cvt's bein fed 1500 watts and there hittin 132 db, and sound nice doing so, idk i guess ill have to keep searching
-
havnt really looked yet, i have the cvt's 2 12"s and im pretty happy with them, but ive also heard the rockfords and they sound nice, i wanted to put 2-3 amps under the seat and make a nice plexi led box, so i was thinking more of behind for the subs...havnt done any measuring yet, just got it today and now its dark, ill have to take a look tommorro
any1 have any other suggestions?

I feel you bro, I love fast food, but the service always SUCKS, hell I'd pay a little more for a better service
dito to everything you say, i cant go to taco bell without them forgetting something

Well from what I heard from a salesman from cartunes the kicker cvt line is garbage. He figured they sounded like the cvr until a customer complained of the sound in his vehicle. Needless to say he won't even sell them to anyone even though they sell them. I am not sure about the rockford shallows as far as sound I as well was looking them up the other day. Personally though I've installed 2 pioneer shallow mount 12's and they only take like .5 cu ft each and sound good. They don't hit low low but are very responsive and sound great. Plus they are quite inexpensive. From what i could find they also require the least amount of airspace compared to other stuff. My brother has a ford explorer sport trac and I had him convinced on 2 kicker l7 8's in a sealed box using up at least .33 cu ft. and a mounting depth of like 4 and 3/4 or something like that. The 10" l7 requires at least .66 but has a larger mounting depth over 6" i think so if that would work for what you trying to do....how big of a box can you fit and what about depth? What about under the seat?

ok so my parents suprised me and brought me home a 04 f-150 with a 5.4l extended cab (really nice) and it has what ford calls the premium stereo with sub and tweeters, but cmon now ford
now i have mostly been following kicker but rockford deep down i love you, anyway to get to the point i had a question, havnt looked yet but its l8 and yea was wondering, anyway to do a box build with 4 12" rockford shallows behind the extended cab seat and do a nice amp rack under the bottom part? dont kno if it will fit or how it would sound...input any1?

so the rockfords are good treble? they will be able to keep up with the woofers when i get them...and i was lookin at them for bass right now cause i cant afford all the woofers at once (and i dont wanna build the box more than once) plus we all kno rockford amps arnt cheap
