    David the admin is #1, he built the site.....#2 is someone who found it before we even went public.....i forget who #3 is, maybe chicken? I didnt register right away because we were in the middle of building the site and no one was supposed to know about it.......its like the minute it went up, no word put out, people started showing up :D

    im good w/#4 its still O.G. :D

    sorry guys i tried the search but it keeps saying the words are not long enough for a search. in any case what causes an amp to pop when you turn it on and off, even whith the rca's disconnnected?

    does anyone no when www.dbdrag.com will have the scheduels for all of the events and where they will be filled out. cause rite no the calander is empty and then when i do a event locater it still doesnt bring anything up. so i am just wonderin when all of this will be posted?

    i have my reasons.

    I like what im doing more though....its way more fun. You can only compete so many times before it gets boring....doug puts on a good show for the people that are into it. I like going and hanging out with my peeps but i also like bailing out when i feel like it :D

    also, ive had the same box since 2004 and its time for some upgrades......cant upgrade and keep climbing the db ladder when i have other peoples cars to work on. Everything you see that i have upgraded like 4 alts, new batteries, new amps......has all been for the BLVD. I do this cuz i love beat, not for competitions.

    one more slight issue.....watching a GANG of my dbdrag stat scores just fall off my stats page one day really discouraged me. Im not mad at Doug, i really like him.....but i mentioned my missing scores no less then 5 times and nothing was done about it. Also my 2005 bassrace scores which were some of the highest AT THE TIME, never made it to the leaderboard......yet a bunch of other peoples did. Nothing was ever done about it so i figured if they dont care then niether do i......ill find something else more fun to do, and thats what i did - havent looked back since.

    Now that wasnt a shot at Doug at all, he is one of my favorite people and he does nothing but prop me up everywhere he goes.....i love the guy in a non gay way :D There was just a few things that contributed to me not caring anymore and a few things that keep me interested at all........and that is mainly demo'ing my system and gettin vids out of it for the site :D

    that sounds like a great idea to me......every1 loves a demo from steve, i kno i did...i could ride in that tahoe all day long with the beat on hard..=D

    ive got the 6&1/2 ks comp set with 1'' tweets and they are the best ive heard yet, they dont distort at all when i crank it and ive only got round 75-100rms goin to em i think cause i got the ds 6&1/2 coax in back n ks componits in front wired @ 2ohm to my memphis pr150.2 and its loud as hell n clear and has some decent midbass also, i got mine for $150 off woofersect.com, ied get em they can take a beating B)

    Thats up to you, what i would do is put the high pass on, first set it high like 200hz then slowly go down untill you think you have enough mid for your taste. And careful with the gain settings too because they only call for 65, you might want to put a cap in between your tweeter and crossover.

    ok, this is gonna sound dumb but, i dont want a speaker in the door (mid and high) and only have one workin...when i have my system up its kinda like a quick check for me to see if my amp is workin right (ive fried my last amp) which messed up one of my speakers, so if i look over and see my mid movin then it seems like things are workin right....dont necessarily want the bass in the door, nor need it, but its nice to have it there

    i have the kicker ks in my 1991 explorer and i love them. i think the tweeter sound good and there not to harsh but they can get loud .i think the speaker put out nice mid bas but its not the best either. your speaker will really sound better if u hook ur speakers to a amp.

    ill be runnin a pionner 75w rms 4 ohm, 100w rms 2 ohm amp to them, i dont wanna shut the bass off to them completely tho, so do you have that problem with yours?...bass isnt a huge concern to me, but then again i dont want my doors with none

    shitt im just a rook, wait till you get help from sq guys, those guys know their shit, they can take a $10 pair of speaks

    and make my $200 pair sound like ass.

    well for the price those kickers look good, but idk maybe ther is some hole in the wall brand that will chew up and spit out those for the price...time will tell hopefully... :rolleyes:

    Id probaly say your tuning and placement has the most to do with that, they should sound close when comparing, the only thing i can think of really noticing would be what the tweeters made of, that can have a big affect on how it sounds, so if ones silk and the others titanium you might hear a difference.

    Ya hes usin his cd players equalizer which isnt that great but they sound good at high volume, i cant say what theyre like with 60 watts goin to them but theyre doin good right now, not to much mid and not to much high screeching in your ear itsa a damn good set for the price in my book.

    kk, i got a set of kar design titanium tweeters up front, goin to add another set in back, how u think the tweets of the kickers will do with the kar design ones? i dont wanna hear 1 set more than the other

    theres alil selection of them to fit your exc, the only other ones ive heard where the fosgates and damnn them babys are lil subs when it comes to midbass great frequency handling.

    yea those are the xact kickers i was going to get, u said he had those ones and he was runnin the bass to them? how crisp were they at full volume?
