Just realized I needed to update to more of what has happened since summer.
this is the day the head scratching started, weird temperature issues just didnt sit right with me so time to get suspicious.I was able to have both cars home while I was doing some troubleshooting. Was a nice peace of mind driving something that worked as it should.
And I had to take the skittle through a parking garage and of course take the obligatory roof picture.
And the teardown process started. Repainting the intake manifold, fuel rail, factory valve cover and anything else I come across.
Of course got screwed over on manifold gasket and a couple odds and ends.
But, mainly BOTH of the dowel alignment pins breaking off in the block. Made a custom tool with what was in the toolbox and managed to get them outAnd this is with the "new" reman odessa cylinder head and the lettered valve cover on just as a cover.
Didnt want to rush it in one night so came back the next night for adding fluds and reconnecting the batteries. This was after making it home on its maiden voyage. Running a modified thermostat so I have good flow at all times because I just wanted to be safe.
I didnt reuse the lettered valve cover because of the spark plug alignment issue and mysterious oil seepage so I said screw it for now.
I felt stupid as I have 2 different fuel rails, dont remember where one came from but probably pull a part. The inlet is at a slightly different angle so the hose clamp scratched a bit of my nice fresh valve cover but its driving again and thats what matters (can slightly see it above)
Heres a better daytime picture.
So it may not directly be audio related, but if the motor doesn't turn my alt safely that equates to no system lol- 2

Decided to dive into my door panels again for 3rd time last night lol. Dug some beginner practice areas out of fiberglass and replaced with proper shit.
Also I wont be running any of the speakers I was previously running/planning on. Just placed an order for one panels worth of some nendo goodness. Super stoked- 1

I just found all my mods in a 2007 neon.org thread.
95 Sport Sedan, 01 PTC 2.4, MPx UDP, MP DOHC PCM, Accel 24# injectors, ATX TB, 3.0 CAI w/Ractive filter, Chikara header, Vitor's EGR block off plates, Walker DOHC muffler, SPEC Stage 1 clutch, TooManyNeons' MM adapter, Booger Bushings, Prothane bushing ki
Yeah, thats a clean swap! whats your name on the ORG? Mine is the same as on here. I still frequent that site as dead as it may seem.

Why wouldn't you be able to? It was about 20 degrees when I did that door and it worked out pretty good. Does it not work well in the cold?
Lack of UV Light.

I found this pic of the engine bay.
pics not working on my end. And it just so happens I may be able to get my hands on a 2.4 in the near future. Have a sneaky suspicion my head has a micro crack. Can get a whole parts car cheaper than new head lol.

Hey, i just recently began basic audio upgrades in my 2000 dodge neon and your build is definitely inspiring me and i have already made plenty mental notes on how to setup everything based on your experience. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work! as others have said, its really nice to see the level of skill and craftsmanship improve over the life of this project and i hope that i might have the time and resources available to grow my skills the same way you did!
thank you! looking good so far! Hey those seats look familiar lol.

Man, you deserve the 1995 Sport 4dr I gave away with a 2001 PT Cruiser 2.4L DOHC motor in it. It had a busted brake line that I didn't feel like dropping the tank to replace. Shoot, I still got Neon engine harnesses in my garage along with other stuff.
lol thank you man.95 with grey bumpers and all? Thats a nice sleeper! im already hoping to find a 2 dr that I can go balls out with. How much of a difference was the 2.4?

So that plexi laying under also does something else besides making a nice viewing window. Too bad it was micro scratched since then and needs replaced already lol
I have to get a better camera to get a good night time shot. My phone does this 0 justice
I did buy a yard of vinyl to try it on the volt/temp meter housing I made thats been sitting in primer for over a year. Was mainly curious on how it matched and how it was for curves
And hit a small milestone last week

Modded bios
Not fully unlocked CPU but enough that I have some wiggle room to push it further than stock. 4910mq. Some cooling mods - carved out inlets/outlets, sealed air leaks between fan and heatsink fins, added additional fins to dissipate heat with use of a cooling pad, Cooled the VRMs either with some peel and stick fins or thermal tape to connect it with the main heatsink where applicable. Swapped out thermal paste with some liquid metal stuff (be careful if you do this route), dual PSUsWow thats a ton of work for a laptop, any pictures of such?

Not 100% sure exactly but Id have to say around 300 watts (probalby not even. Ill likely need to turn these way down)
