looking for a good 600-1k watt amp. looking for 2 channel as im running 2 subwoofers. my subs are 300 rms each so looking for a amp that will put 300-500 to each subwoofer. not looking to spend a whole lot. what you got? also taking suggestions on amps to get. subs are kenwood 10s

ok. one of my friends said hes willing to give me 300 for the amp, run his amp wires, install door speakers, 6x9s and headunit.

finally got enough posts so id like to sell my speakers. i have 2 pairs of Toxik Audio 6x5 speakers.both sets are used but never put on a amplifier. One set has the grills and one set does not however ill throw in some black pioneer grills the toxik grills show use. speakers work great i need the money. im asking $120 a pair obo for these. here are the pics. let me know if your interested.

i dont even know if the speaker wire i had laying around is 18 guage i think its like 20 or 22 lol

yeah like i said im going to be working on a new build to have subs in a box again. the sub i have is free air compatable. i can hear it fine its a clean bass i just want more. so i will be fiberglassing the hole up. well part of it anyway so i can use it as a port into the cabin. i will be buying another kenwood 10 for now and building a box and amp rack when i get some money. eventually i wanna buy a sundown amp and 2 sundown 10s

having 3 8 guage instead of 1 totally made a huge difference. i have a 2 guage going from the front to the distribution block and then the 3 8 guage from the block to the amp. just cant wait to start my build. maybe if im lucky steve will help me since hes local

my sub is mounted in the decklid. also today i ran some more power wires from my distrabution block to my amp. also ran some more ground wires to the amp. i didnt have any more 2 guage wire so i ran 3 8 guage wires to each. equals a 2 guage if you think about it. pics are in my build thread. heres the link. also sub wont be there for long cause im going to be doing a new build. anyways here the link http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/132406-94-g20/

the amp got it for $50 bucks brand new soon i will be doing a build for 2 10s and i will be making a amp rack

also keep in mind my subwoofer is not in a box its used as free air at the moment

sub is a 300 watt rms kenwood 10 mounted in decklid, amp is a 300zx mono kicker amp, loud on deck is set to highs, sw is in reverse setting at level 3 of 6, bass is at 0, hpf is set at 125hz, im not sure of the amp settings at the moment.

can having to small of speaker wire going to my sub cause clipping which causes a occasional smell? also will bigger wire make it louder?

i used to use regular spraypaint in my highschool days but now if i want to smoke lights i use vht nightshades. kept getting pulled over cause the spraypaint was too dark.. right now i have no tint on any of my lights but when i get my truck im going to black out everything using vht nightshades.

Lately ive been installing stereos and speakers for friends and running wires and stuff. how much should i charge? i want to someday have my own shop and do it for a living. right now ive been paid 20-25 for a deck install (customer brings the deck and harness and anything else needed) and ive been paid 50 for installing front and rear speakers.. i havnt ran amp wires for money yet i did the homie hookup on that and done it for free.. what should i be charging for this stuff? i plan on making some business cards and handing them out. this is my passion so i want to make it my career.

you need a wire harness (varies depending on year) and a antena adapter. when you pull out the factory radio you will need to take off the mounting brackets from the factory radio and use it on your aftermarket one. also for the wire harness there is no ground wire i dont know why they are just like that so you will need to use the ground wire from the aftermarket deck and ground it somewhere behind the dash. (i used the mounting screws and works just fine) let me know if you need any more help
