  1. He has projectors, so all the "scattered light" will be concentrated. Usually when you see dull coloring or HIDs with a lot of scatter and no focus its one of two things... a cheap HID kit, or the lack of a projector housing. He will be PERFECTLY fine! and despite what people say about the 8k, its visually fine and appealing!! I had a monte carlo with 8k lows, high, fogs and it looked absolutely gorgeous at night and I had NO PROBLEM seeing up the rode!!! Not to mention that blue Hue only makes the blue calipers "pop" on the Lexus cool.gif.pagespeed.ce.7E66Ryotmb.gif ... Nice Attention to detail IMO :detail:

  2. Would The regular damplifier be good for doors and if so would the 32 sq. ft. be enough for a 2 door car?

most of the time yes. way more than enough for single layer full coverge. you could probably do double layer with 32 sq feet maybe triple what kind of car is it?

its a 2005 monte carlo .. and i plan on putting Cadence CVL68 Mid bass drivers in there.. i have Focal Components already but im trying to upgrade to louder speakers to keep up with my future sub configuration.

  3. 6 in would be ok, and yes net internal volume maximizes the way is drawn right now. You just need to figure out a seal off plan, will your back seats fold down?

Thank you so much for your help!

OK, i figured that would be the reason for the front subs.. And Yes my seats will fold down.. Is there a way you could provide me a cut out sheet for the design you gave me?

I will consider some improvements, check calculations and then provide you a cutsheet by tomorrow.

  4. No it does not have to be pushed against the seat at all in fact some airspace in front of the sub is beneficial, the idea of sealing off is that gets done air tight so you pressurize a smaller volume. There a number of improvements that can be done but you need to carefully consider your space and then it gets modified to a final spec.

if you notice in the pic there is a bar at the top, from there to the back of the seat is at 4 - 6 in. would that be ideal?

  5. Here is another suggestion it achieves about 7.8 cubic feet @ 33Hz and two subs fully front firing:

    Some improvements pending.

i like this design also.. quick question, when doing the blowthrough and sealing it from the trunk, does the box have to be pushed all the way against seat or could it sit back a little? the reason i ask is because the cut out behind my seats arent as wide as my measurements and the excursion from the sub could hit it. i'll upload a picture to better show my trunk and how its arranged... but thats a sweet design and it gives almost the optimal space along with bracing which is very necessary
