How would i set up a sub amp , when the car has a factory head unit and a line out converter???

Hey . So i saw the way Steve set up the amps in this video .. i did it the same exact way he did it with the aux cord , my gains were a lot higher then when they were tuned by a guy but he also did it by ear .. i don't know if i smelled something (coils burning) or if i was just to worried about it ..but it did hit a lot harder .. but the catch is that i have a factory head unit and a line out converter .i know line out converters give out dirty singles so thats why i"m wondering.. also the amp is a Rockford p1000-1bd and 2 10 inch type r's .. Thanks

is there anyway to tune my subs with the dd1 if i have a factory headunit and line out converter ???

pulled both ends of the rcas out they were fine no metal came off seemed fine to me and yeah the ground is under the trunk carpet its just shaved down metal theres no paint

checked the rca's and ground its not i t... and the amp and sub are a couple months old . idk whats wrong ??????? helpp

ill have to check bout the ground .. im also using a line out conveter but the metal on the rca on the brand that i have .. in the past the metal has came off the tip .

acutally it was did with a o scope then i checked it with the smd dd-1 ... grounded to body of the car yeah .. the black rca was a little loose and i checked that but its still making the problem

hey guys recently i"ve been having this problem where my sub with cut out when i put my volume up high and then from then on it wont hit as hard its like theres not enough power going to the subs... it use to shake the hair on my head and now it barley does that ... help please
