  1. It was a very clean install. I felt like the doors were not playing or didn't haven enough power... I also felt like those subs needed some gain / phase matching. Didn't seem as loud as it should be for 12 15's on over 20,000 watts. ( 6 2500.1's at .5ohms)... Ether they were not broke in, or gains were not set... Or lots of cancelation. It was moving air but 2 vehicles that were way louder were DeRoncey's blazer and pure audio's truck. Both had 4 15's in a 4th order on about 10k and I felt like the install and vehicle was very clean impressive and had tons of potential. I just don't think they had enough time to really optomize everything.

It took me 2 weeks to really break in my ZVX's on a 2500... And another 2 months to get my gains, subsonic, LPF, deck settings, box position, all trunk leaks sealed, and fixed RCA problems all sorted out where I finally feel like I got all I can out of it with out throwing more $$ at it (which I will soon)

Can't wait to hear it again. Hopefully Kevin can chime in and take this constructive criticism as just that. I'd love for his show vehicle to be a 155+ on a huge bandwith.

It was finished at 5am on friday the day of the show lol.

The doors were turned practically off due to a white noise issue throughout the system that they didn't have enough time to troubleshoot before the show was underway.

Wasn't bad for 20 day cramming....it will be completed soon enough though lol

That's exactly what I figured... I'm glad I didn't jump to conclusions. But I'm a bit sad about the doors. I already know what ZVX's and a 2500 can do... Which is why I'm getting another 2500 ;) but I really really wanted to hear those doors as I was considering going pro audio.

  3. You'll love them bro! Got to hear a few diff setups at SBN this weekend and each of them sounded great!

I didn't get to see yours at SBN mr maliboom! I wanted to hear the ZVX's in a BHE 4th order. I'm still debating if I wanna double the power and do a 4th (2 2500's) or wall it a with 4 ZVX's with 2 4500's.......

Decisions decisions... You already know BHE and skar are gonna be in on it though

  4. I really hope that the ZVX 15's meet and exceed my expectations there's not many videos of them and I'm only giving them 180 of above rated power. I'd rather not do a wall, at least not in this Jeep.

They can take it. Watch when I give them each a 2500 at .5 ohms. Double RMS to each ZVX? They be iight

  5. I just purchased 2 ZVX 15's and 2 of the 1500 amps. I hope they will be able to meet my bass head needs. There's not many videos of the ZVX's so I hope that you and I will like them. I know for sure that I am going to be posting up videos of my system once I put it in my WJ.

If two ZVX's don't meet your bass head needs, you might want to consider a wall.

I am getting a second 2500.... To make them ZVX's work.... Then ill get 2 more ZVX's and wall it. Right now they can almost keep me happy with my bass head needs

Check my videos of the ZVX's

  7. I've seen that video. And I know I can only fit the d5100 up front. I'm just curious of people opinions on which pair of d / xp batteries from Xs power would satisfy my power needs decently with out just saying "put 4 d7500's back there...should be enough"

Believe me I'd love to over kill on batteries but I can't till I fix my suspension weight issues with an air ride or some bad ass springs

  8. If you want to replace your batt under the hood, choose a D2400 for under the hood, the XP series have no heatprotection, so no use for under the hood.

Where did that come from? I said in my last post that only the d5100r would fit because of the reverse terminals needed. That's the only option I have for under the hood with Xs power unless I alter all of my cables which I'm not doing. The only thing I'm concerned about at this point is finding adequate battery bank to hold a good voltage for at least a demo full tilt. Obviously I'd need like 3 d3100's to support 5k full tilt for long extended periods with only 200 amps to charge it. But I'm looking for enough to get me through a demo (45-60 sec full tilt on music) and then let it charge back up... Rinse and repeat. Remember this is only 2 batteries in the trunk, and weight is my limiting factor. So I'm trying to get enough electrical for the least weight. I'm not saying I want to put a xp950 and hope it supports 5k which is what some people think I'm saying.

    Example would be like

    2 d2400's

    2 xp2500's

    2 d2700's

    Or Any other combinations.

  9. i hear you nathan, just trying to figure out best electrical with weight in mind. i already have two 50lb subs, a 20 lb box, a 20 lb amp. spare tire, and two 60 + lb batteries behind the rear axle. behind the axle is what is killing me. my rear end sags a bit. looking into stronger springs. my springs are good, so are my struts both are OEM new replaced by my dad.

my point is if i can use 2 XS power batteries that weigh 50-65 lbs and get what i need then i wanna find what those are... anyone can tell me 2 d3100's or d7500s will be enough electrical.

btw alternator is as big as it gets for my engine. 200 amp. checked singer and tenney. mechman doesnt make one for my engine.. and the 270 dc has been known to draw down the engine too much at idle. so batteries and OFC wire are my options. any suggestions on a pair of batteries in the rear to support 5k on a 200 amp alt? front battery with this will be a 5100r because i need the reverse terminals even though i can fit a d2400.

got any suggestions nathan? im gonna be contacting xs to order soon because my 3 hand me down dekas are about to shit.

  10. You can see my equipment in my sig. 200 amp alt, (currently deka) 2 group 24 agm's and my 2500.1 and those are my rear batteries but they are at the end of their life. Got them 2 years used from dad for free. Free is free.... Up front I have the best reverse polarity group 24 AGM I could find.

    I drop about 13.1 full tilt driving. 12.3 - 12.0 idle.

I'm gonna grab some Xs power. I'd like to stick with group 24 size batteries. And I was lookin at the xp series. So I guess that puts me with an xp2000? I wanted the 3000 but all that extra weight and I don't think it will fit how I have my batteries set up and mounted.

    Question is...

When I get my 2nd 2500.1 do you think ill be ok with 2 xp2000's on my 200 amp alternator?
