Your talking about the guy with JL w7's in PA?
nerp...his install is all trunk no aero coming into the car...no cut through rear deck.... no meter in kick.... his build is kinda like nates and there are only a few pics of it... the guy from pa has my upmost respect as his trunk is crazy. n8 knows the guy as wall as kingsuv
Yah that JL build guy has a sick trunk build. I wish I had more info on kingsuv's build. Sounds nasty

With those woofers and amps (while they might be good) is say tune to 30-35hz and let her twang...So would the magical 33hz be about the way to go? I at the very least want to hit a 150. The lower I can do that the better.
Meters where invented to disappoint... Ask orionstang
I LOL'd at this
-
Maybe if your tuned in the high 20s
I'm personally gonna say you need more power and won't hit a 150 under 40hz
I think this is realistic. Low notes take power.
-
Hard to say if 6 12's or 4 18's will be louder. I'd personally go with 12's I like them 12's........ Plus more voice coils to spread heat across.....
-
I smell a C pillar wall with 12 12's in a 4th order on 12k.....
In for build
-
Anyone listen to these yet? Reviews?

Everyone told you not to get that many batteries... Remember a 7500 is 1.5 3100's.... So to keep your same battery bank capacity you were talking you would need 14-15 7500's.... Either way that's a lot of weight and a lot of money.... For 10k you could get away with 3 7500's and a single or double h.o. Alt.... Or 5-6 3100's and the same alternator. I wouldn't recommend full tilt for minutes on end however... That's why we have alternators.

Ok, thank you. I was also told by a "authorized" repair facility not to use a dd-1 on a Sundown or I would void his warranty on the work he did.
Rofl at this....
-
oh and not to mention, the Xover says "30 -----300hz" please tell me how you plan on hitting 80hz (or 90 or whatever you use) without a CC-1 I mean there is other ways but i bet 99% of the people just turn it to where they THINK 80 (for example) is. Good luck on that!
I herd the dd1 and cc1 will break your amp and make your music sound like crap.... Respectively.....
From those smart people Kylar referenced

Can't wait to see everyone flame when its proven to not hurt the amp like most of us know is true
-
Any year now.
Is it done yet ?
-
You tell us.... I just said I'd go with a 3500 rms amp and I'd go single amp for ease of set up
-
1 amp might be easier... No gain matching or strapping hassles.....
-
X2..... Quote that whole last sentence and
EVEN IF you do everything right..... The last part is still true... They can't take it ALL DAY. They are still 600 rms and heat will still build up quickly...
Heat kills.

Aq 3500 for 4 SA 12's... With properly set gain.
Technically they only should get 2400 rms....... But that's what I'd pick. Remember you can always turn the gain lower
-
then what amp would you recommend for 2 SA-12's? my budget is 300 and under. Maybe a amp for each sub? idk, help me outI ran double rms power to my skar VVX 12's before I got my ZVX's and they took it pretty good but sure didn't like it..... Also I didn't rail on it for more then 30 sec.... The one time I tried to stress test them I played decaf 10+ minutes with zero brakes and I got them a tad stinky, but aft they cooled off were just as good as normal......
The good thing about giving them more power then they are rated for is they loosen up a lot quicker lol. My VVX 12's took about 6 hours play time to really get nasty lows.... Took almost a week with my ZVX's lol
I don't know about what amp exactly..... But if you have to ask...... We have to assume you wouldn't set your gains properly with a dd1 / oscope with -5 db tones and making sure your headunit isn't clipping..... We also have to assume that your not one to keep an eye on your equipment, remember your pushing them harder then they are ment for.... Things will fail if over driven for too long. If your one of those 100% volume fuck my equipment guys.... I'd get a 1200-1500 watt amp and call it a day... If you think you can be responsible (but don't bitch to us if you damage something) I'd feed them 800-900 watts each so 1600-1800 rms... And dual 2 ohm means you have to get something that does that power at 2ohms.....
So your looking at a brz 1700 if you think your not gonna pay attention and a 2400 if you think you can be responsible. Assuming both of these amps are at 2 ohms nominal and you set your gains CORRECTLY.
That is all

I think Steve should only reply to the positive people. though ignoring those people can be hard. I can only imagine how many Steve gets... I've even gotten a couple as a nobody because I swear by the DD1 and I don't use JL audio / kicker / Rockford Fosgate.

With no clipping or distortion I've seen SA's take 1000 rms each
Do I spy a component speaker?
