mission accomplished, Steve!

Cool thank you will do. Has either of you put 8g wiring to your subs?
I've used 8 awg on wiring my level 4 m2 12's and on my level 5 m1 18. I only ran into a small problem on the 12's(dual 1) when I couldn't fit two wires in the opening, but I was able to get 8 awg reducers and everything was fine.

20 bucks for the custom 4 to 8 gauge adaptor

I would have demanded them to send me my TV and let me keep the gun. lmao

a couple questions:
1) is that stinger 1/0 roll 50 ft?
2) can you get exact measurements on those RCA's along with better pictures? its hard to tell what you've got there

it depends on the car. we always recommend professional installation for anything as involved as this just because a you will have to worry about specific triggers, polarity, and different settings.
Thanks for the reply, even though I posted in the wrong section.
I'll definitely take your advice in leaving an alarm install to the pros. Too bad I don't live in Cali or anywhere near.....I'm in the middle of nowhere, hours from any big city
If that's the case, just taking the keys out of the ignition should give you better protection than half the cars around you. LOL.
yeah you're right about half the other cars around me....haha
i always keep my ride locked up no matter what....

Thanks a lot for the replies, guys. I saw your posts, then looked around my garage and I actually had some rubber weatherstripping very similar to what was suggested. I appreciate your help.

I've searched and searched and found a few topics on this but no clear answers. Is it good/does it help to use a bead of rope caulk or something similar under the outer gasket when drilling in your subwoofer? Are there any 'less messy' options? I'm installing tomorrow, please help me with some input on this.

pics please? i want to see everything lol

There is no such thing as over kill in audio
I only run 8 guage even for 1000 watts
The only car I have with 16 gauge is only running 100 watts
THIS
use 8 gauge if u can bro, but also consider it's some pretty thick wire and if you have to put two wires into one terminal on your subs(for series/parellel, etc.) you might have to get some reducers from radioshack like i did
reducers or banana plugs
lulz
I'll swap out the wire for 8 gauge. I tend to go for overkill myself.
do iiiiiiiiiiit

Any form of heat deflector like that will work good for you. It keeps the heat from soaking the battery, which can lead to the battery swelling. With the temperatures that most have had this year this is just another good way to take care of your battery. If you will notice on most vehicles today the OEMs are starting to use AGM batteries under the hood. With that they are putting the batteries in a plastic case that surrounds the battery and helps deflect the heat away from the battery. Flooded batteries will suffer from heat much less than sealed batteries just because of the internal construction. You can always add water and electrolyte to a flooded battery, but you can't do that to a sealed battery.
thanks for the info Nathan

even after reading this, i still won't put a battery on concrete lol

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I wouldnt think heat would be an issue..IF your just replacing a stock battery in the stock location...I wouldnt think so anyway
I've had my D2400 in my stock location going on 2 years with no problem.
ok thanks guys
