    What about rubberized undercoating like u get at AutoZone? Would that be ok for him to use? Its pretty cheap!

    Thanks Torres for the reply. I went to Home Depot and those clamps are like $20 bucks a pop! Too expensive for me since I wont be using them often. So glue first, then predrill then drill each panel at a time? Do I start off gluing the back to the bottom first then the sides or is there a specific order?

    What is the best way to cut your circles when u dont have access to a router? How do u measure the proper hole and one last thing, how do u put the box together when u dont have access to those fancy gadgets I see on these threads? The ones that look like clamps.. Too expensive.. I can always have the wife hold the pcs together til it dries! Lol..(Jus playing)

    it would help a little reinforcement and reduce flex resin by itself will not reduce flex. you need to add mat to resin to get any kind of strength at all. Resin by itself will do a couple things; help seal the wood, if sanded it will smooth the wood and can make it easily paintable. If you are adding resin only to add strength, you ain't doing it right! Thanks, I guess ill be adding mat because I really need the strength!! Thanks fellers!!

    Ok so im cutting my wood up and trying to fit this monstrosity together and I see that the port is 25"dx34"w. Thats an awfully deep port! Is this right or is it a typo??

    Im pretty sure I can seal it up real good, just wanted to make it solid!! So I dont have to sand that ish though right?? I really hope not!! Lol..

    Ok, so I could get away with just the resin and just put the mat in the corners?? And if I mat the whole box would I have to sand it down? That seems like alot of work!! Lol

    Got a noobie here. When glassing the inside of the box for strength, do u just use resin or resin and mat?

    Hey Joe X, im building this box as we speak! Going to do a build thread!! I was wondering, for the port, is it just one flat piece of mdf or does it angle up inside the box at the end??

    I really appreciate the help guys!! But I think ill give the underbody a try with the run, might even do two runs while im at it. Im still bumped on the big 3 tho. I dont have a bracket that says "ground" above the alt. And I found the engine block ground but its so deep I cant get to it!! I might drill a hole to the frame and send it there then to the battery and then chassis to the frame! Would that be safe??

    What about under the truck? Any suggestions since it'll only be one run? It looks too creepy to go thru the firewall!!

    So u removed the antenna completely and just used the hole? Im only using 1/0 so wouldnt that hole be too big? And thanks for that pic and info.. What do I do about the big 3 engine ground?

    Since those SQB's are 8ohms, would that be a factor since they not getting enough power to sound good as they should?

    I have 2001 Bravada with the 4.3. Engine bay is the same as a Blazer. Im trying to find the engine ground to do the Big 3. Also, does anyone know a spot to drill to put the wire thru the firewall. Im only doing one run of positive 1/0 and running a Planet Audio BB2400.1. If you have pics that would be GREAT!!
