When i lost my mother i didnt even cry till like a year or more later then i just broke down one night while talking to the wife. still healing. She was clear of cancer 3 times and it kept coming back. she weighed 70lbs when she passed away. fucked up thing is when i got the call to hurry over and say my goodbyes, i came over and talked to her for 15 minutes before i knew she was already gone. thats how sick she was beforehand.

Sorry to hear man, that sounds absolutely terrible to have to watch your parent go like that. I have yet to experience a close loss like that, so I can't relate first hand. But man... This is year 4 of the passing of my father-in-law and this year hit harder than previous ones for my wife and it's heart wrenching. The same effect has occurred with my wife, she tries to be positive at times... but it doesn't seem to last very long.
