  1. That window flex is awesome bro. Nicely done. How many db's do you think that's hittin on TL? Just curious.
  2. I would suggest that for the first couple months you run open class "anything goes" just to build a good following, then start segmenting into something like this: Class A - 5,001 watts and up Class B - 1,001 - 5,000 watts Class C - 1000 watts and under These basic 3 tiers should make sure there is always atleast 10 submissions in each class. If you make too many subclasses you may end up with some dead months for a class that doesn't get enough entries. Cheers, Cappy
  3. Steve, Not sure if you were already planning on it but I'm kinda curious on how these badboys will rank on the Term-Lab in Chicken's living room. Has anyone ever TL'ed their living room system before? :^
  4. I don't think they own Optima but the link I tracked down for my Tsunami battery has a confusing line that says: "Tsunami delivers the power that high-performance and competition mobile audio systems demand. Our Optima deep cycle batteries – The Ultimate Power Source™ – are constructed with Spiral Cell Technology for spectacular performance whether you prefer dB drag racing or just enjoying your tunes." http://www.tsunamionline.com/product_listing.php?id=4 None the less my bat arrives this Thursday and I can't wait to unleash my amp.
  5. Thanks guys, I found the battery for me through a connection I have at an install shop. Tsunami has a Competition line of batteries that actually give out more cold cranking amps than most of the yellow & red tops. Here's the model my shop is ordering for me: http://www.tsunamionline.com/product.php?id=637 It's the Tsunami Competition Series X15925 with 925 "cold" cranking amps. Thanks for the advice, Cappy
  6. lol.. we have a franchise called Canadian Tire (cough... their kinda crap.. cough) but they don't carry either Optima or Kinetic. I have a bro of mine checking with some performance shops that he does business with to track a red top down so I'll see what he comes back with. Cheers, Cappy
  7. Hey JDHogg, If no one took you up on your offer on the Kinetic 800 let me know (pm). I'm currently looking for one that will fit a 2002 Honda civic. Cheers, Cappy
  8. Thanks Megalo, We'll I think I've decided to go with the Red Top Optima but now comes the fun part of tracking one down that can be shipped to Toronto Canada. Ebay is asking some insane prices and I know that the shipping charges are going to be up there so I need to either find a dealer that is closer to my location or find a great deal in the US that even with the shipping is affordable. My budget for the battery is under $200 after freight. I checked the site you gave me and it shows all the Optima batterys as sold out. "Check when this item will be back in stock". I'm going to go to plan B and check the "For Sale" forum thread on this site so wish me luck and if anyone reading this post has an Optima in good shape they want to make a quick buck on feel free to let me know. Cheers, Cappy
  9. Thanks for the frickin fast replies guys. holycrap... lol I've had my eye on the Kinetic bats. Any idea of a good place to grab one at a reasonable price? Cheers, Cappy
  10. Hey guys, First things first, I'm Cappy and I'm new to the boards. Sup  Need some help deciding on which battery I should pickup for my new setup. Everything was just installed today and I'm running with the gain and boost at minimum until I grab a deep cycle battery that can keep up with my amp. Here's my setup: - 12" Kicker Solobaric L5 - Pioneer Premier PRS-D3000SPL (1000 watts rms @ 2 ohm) - 2 cubes ported @ 40Hz - Stinger 1 farad capacitor ...All in the trunk of my 2002 Civic Coupe I know that the Optima Yellow Top is one of the best out there but I'm having some troubles tracking one down at a decent price. Any suggestions on other good brands/models or where I should be able to grab one of the Optima's at a good price would be very helpful. I really want to crank up those gains as soon as possible. :shifty: Cheers, Cappy
