  1. I am more interested in the speaker crossover function of this device. Although the RCA test is great as well. The only video I can find is one where Steve doesn't talk ... This seems like a device I need but it has to come with better instruction.
  2. The video has some flaws from an educational point of view. I understand that it was just to show what it does but think about it, how did you know when to stop? You can't assume everyone has your knowledge and not explain what you are doing. That device is 300.00 and we deserve better instruction in the video. Now if there is a video that does that and I am not finding it then please post it and I will post the humble pie shortly thereafter. But for now the video is a negative one. I get not everyone is a born teacher but steve Meade designs seems to be big enough where you could find someone no is good at teaching. If you want to market a product it takes more than the product.
  3. Sorta I actually have he DDC to control the DQXS but yeah I'm looking for a high quality source
  4. I could afford it I would key have to wait a month or so... However the main reason I'm not going after the 99prs is because its wasted money since I have the Audiocontrol matrix and DQXS... The prs would only be useful if I did not have those. Most of its abilities would not even be used
  5. i would LOVE a pioneer 880prs, or a mcintosh (cannot afford sighh). but cant seem to find the 880prs for sale OR the alpine 9887 but cannot find any of them. so it looks like the pioneer 80prs and a down hanging screen for video
  6. the iphone has the ONLY sirius interface that allows me to monitor whats playing on my favorites and in EVERY way the apps i need run better on the iphone so theres no need for a touchscreen anymore. the alpine 9887 if i can get one newish, the pioneer 80prs seem like the most likely candidates
  7. i should have never left Excelon. but im not longer interested in a double din touchscreen... im seriously thinking about a pioneer 80prs
  8. ive had my pioneer AVH-P8400bh for 3 months now. I HATE IT. after you get ooooooooooohhd and ahhhhhhhhhhhed by the bells and whistles youll never use again, it became aparent to me just how much of a piece of crap this thing is...pioneer dropped the ball AGAIN. Please understand ive had higher end tough screen headunits since they first came out and lots of other im no stranger to what to expect. But seriously my iphone has a better and easier and more reliable interface IN EVERY WAY than the app radio on this thing. Pro's- BEAUITFUL headunit and screen..... and thats it.. Con's= SLOW locks up CONSTANTLY. i have to shut it off constantly as it and the iphonetry and kill each other (yes i had my iphone checked out by apple its not the issue). switching between app mode and normal is like juggling nitrous..eventually your gonna screw up an BOOOOOM!!! and it does frequently. SO i have decided to sell my 8400BH and replace it with a high end single din combined with a motorized touchscreen for dash command and netflix and the like. So my budget is about 750.00 i suppose maybe more depending. Here is what im looking for #1- i have an audiocontrol matrix AND DQXS so i dont really need a zillion sound contouring options. #2-bluetooth would be nice but with a headphone jack plugged into iphone any music is auto paused by the iphone anyway.. so its not essential. #3-i hate sony so dont even mention that lol. so far im thinking the Eclipse MK7200, the new pioneer audiphile headunit NOT the 1200.00 one the little brother the 80prs? and i know alpine makes some good stuff... OHHHH IT HAS TO HAVE AN AUDIO IN OR A HEADPHONE JACK!!!! so mainly what im looking for is high end constuction, nice looks and great sound
  9. . I am looking for a Soundstream Powerplant (original) LED readouts AND spider emblem MUST work. I will settle for a Sound stream powerplant 2 but GREATLY prefer the original.
  10. drat already started on in the build section.....i doubt it will get many hits to get out of hand
  11. Ok here goes. i have gutted the ENTIRE tc. i dont know how to move the "Huge car audio project" here so im simply going to continue it from stripping the inside onward in this forum. and that is my gutted tc. and this is the pile in the living room..the wife was NOT amused. as according to her i never told her i was doing this..... ok so i am waitin on the FAT MAT roll. here is the game plan #1- scrub all the exposed areas to insure adhesion #2- install 100' roll fo FAT MAT. #3- install 3 pieces of STINGER Carpet Pad #4-COMPLETELY rewire Audio System starting at the battery #5- Build custom amp rack for the trunk and cover it with carpet #6-Install STINGER OVERKILL in door panels and reinstall panels #7-reinstall carpet and center console after covering console with XPELL CF looking vinyl #8-reinstall all panels #9-reinstall system and new sub box from http://www.supercrewsound.com/ see it even has divets to hug the protrutions inside. it is a perfect snug fit with no gaps. #10- install awesome new FOCAL tweeters that allow me perfect tweeter imaging with no pillars or other purchases P.S. Here is the link showing the gutting of the car http://clubsciontc.com/fo...huge-audio-project-45798/ thank you thank you. and im gonna make some scion XB kick panels an offer they cant refuse with a dremel to get another set of speakers up front and this baby came today!!! this is my second piece of audiocontrol gear it will enable me to set a custom eq profile for up to 8 sources/profiles save them and select them from the cockpit..as well asan incredible good digital eq ok i promised an update and the weather finally held factory wire guides are huge and not suitable to go underneath fatmat AND carpet pad. so i bought a few hundred of these guys here is the passenger side with the fatmat installed. it is important to keep the factory wiring harnesses where they ran in case you need to have the vehicle serviced. i am using a thicker butyl based product on the transmission hump as carpet pad wont go there i am going to double layer stinger roadkill. will try and do some more tuesday morning. after reading a LOT of complaints on fat mat i did some more research and decided to let it air out for 2 weeks after that i let it heat up in the sun several times upon installing it the smell is all gone. it seems quit sticky as i did not use soap and water or solvent i used JUST rubbing alcohol.
