stupid fedex people
lilricco replied to old dude's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Comparing anything to a car dealership is never a good comparison. I dont see a problem with having to pm pricing. If you dont trust the person you are buying from then maybe you shouldnt be doing business with them. If Rusty was shady DC would not be as big as it is today, and really if it is a $50 difference who cares, its not like he is quoting $100 or more between people. Thats just my 2 cents. -

What happened to the A team at finals?
lilricco replied to Sampsonite's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Your a tool for that comment.... The engine was put in the truck less then 6 months ago because him and Team Rip Rock BOTH lost engines driving 9 hours(each way) to a 2x event in May I believe. So he put a new engine it in so he could have it ready for his shows and finals. To my knowledge he drove further then anyone else that went to north american finals. (drove down together with Rip Rock) But yes... he should invest some money into his vehicle. -

Vids are up, Subs are still disgustingly stiff. Most are kind of the same thing, I got my actual box in there tonight after these videos so I will retake the videos and compress it into one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSj5MfMwf0c sadly not capable of http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif

My Appreciation To DC Audio
lilricco replied to The A Team's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
162 is hiding in there! it has to be! Im pretty sure this run was taking at like 12 different angles! -
Well after putting an order through my good pal Clay (A Team) for a set of level 4 12s with level 5 coils I was kind of skeptical of spending bigger money on woofers are my bad experience with *D subs. Didnt really take long to put the worries behind me when I got a call the very next morning letting me know the subs had been built and dropped off at the shipping office. Clay received my subs within a week or so and had to take pics and post them to make me jealous I couldnt have them for over a week. Then late Sunday night we were chatting and he told me to come down the next day and grab my stuff, hang out for a bit etc. I was going to just wait to go down until his show the next weekend but when I said I didnt have much money and he called me a cheap cunt I had to change my mind. So I went down there and wired them up and played with them for a bit. I was really impressed with the way they were built and the way they looked. I was even more impressed when I was loosening them up at 20hz and they werent even considering breaking a sweat. We played with them for a little bit on a Stetsom 4k2d, Did a few tests at 2 ohms and they were doing the same numbers my old subs did, I was kind of bummed out by this. Then after a few more tests we decided to drop the amp to .5 and suddenly I had a change of heart! My old subs would have died after about 3 burps and the DC's were just laughing away. I will post the scores and pics after this weekends show to see if I can improve a little bit. All I can say is im very happy with the service (despite not even getting to talk to anyone at DC ) and the product. Now its time to get loud! And Rusty if your hiding out there somewhere, if you can pm me how many cu ft the level 4s like for SPL that would be awesome. -Spencer

Hey guys, Im new to the DC Audio, I will be putting an order through with Mr 160.5 to get 2 lvl 4 12s with lvl 5 coils on monday. Now it will be a very short time line before the 2x show on the 13th so I will not have time to test so I will be building a box and wingin it for the show. I seen that the lvl 4's call for 2 cu ft per driver for SPL applications on the DC Site but I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences building a bit smaller or bigger to increase their score. I know what my truck peaks at etc I just need to know how big I should build the box. Thanks

Ive been talking to Tom about the whole situation, He was a very good guy that first time around and if he is still willing to try and help me out and get this all figured out and over with then thats amazing after some of the stuff I said. I will keep posting as I talk to Tom and we slowly get everything figured out. I might end up oweing him a big appology.
