I also have never introduced my self on here.
My name is Rob im 20 and from Texas.
My main hobby is actually classic cars, but the past year or so ive been getting into car audio more.
Right now i am a college student so not much time do either of my hobbies besides summers.

this has to be the coolest enclosure ive ever seen.

i have heard both of these subs. if it was me i would go more towards the JL just because to me or at least in the set up i heard it on the JL was more clear sounding compared to the Type R's.
but to me they are both decent subs and they will both do what you want.
For the box i would try a build a ported enclosure for either of them.
-
if you can figure out how to tune this nicely please let me know.
i have a box like this in my extended cab that i raised my seat 2 inches to get alot more air space and i can not figure out how to do the ports.
-
i agree with pro7 above.
but to answer your question i use to have one rockford p3s 12. it wasnt a bad sub it did hit hard for what it was and never had any kinds of problems with it.

tuned in for this one

just wondering if anybody has this phone and after the most recent update if your phone has been extremely slow and loss of service.

I went through a guy named Wheatley in Houston to get my gmc tuned and its amazing you just can email him or call him and tell him what you want out of the tune and he will program it all for you and send you a new computer for you to install in your truck.
i gained a good 3 to 4 mpg with probably around 30 horsepower.

throttle body spacers in my experience are useless not saying for someone else they didnt do anything.
but the best way ive found for some extra power out of a 350 is exhaust, headers, and cold air intake.
and just like CleanSierra said about the vette servo it actually does alot to help to. I just had a vette servo and shift kit installed on my 5.3 and its amazing the difference than before.

yeah i kind of figured it would end up eventually being a vs post, but i could really use some input from some other people since i cant decide.
this was a vs thread from the start kiddo.
obsidian audio to answer your question.
I've never heard of obsidian i will have to look into it. but i just really like the two that i stated in the beginning of this post.
obsidians are cheaper priced than skars, and i personally like the way theyre built alot better than skar...no offense to skar though, their subs are still killer subs.
thanks for the help i will for sure be looking into these subs then.

those stickers on that support look awesome.

i guess i should also mention these would be for everyday driving. no competitions or none of that kind of stuff.

Ive been torn between which new subs to get. I really like both choice so i would just like some feedback on which subs yall think would be better for my set up.
My truck is an extended cab sierra and i have raised my back seat up 2 inches and build a custom ported enclosure underneath the seat with individual chambers for 2 12s. each chamber also has close to 2 cubic feet before displacement.
so the subs that i have been looking at are...
the new rockford p3 12s
and the skar vvx 12s
i will be getting a better amp soon also as of right now i have a 1200.1mtx jackhammer thats 1200 rms at 1 ohm.
also will be rebuilding the box but that really does not change anything.
so like i said if i could get some feed back on what you guys would suggest or what you guys think it would be greatly appreciated.

The Torres calculator can calculate for any shape, just enter the the volume before displacements in the "Desired gross volume" box enter the dimensions of the port and the subs and bracing displacements.
thanks

yeah thats what i figured but i was not sure

no ive got the area for it i was just wowndering how i could figure out how to tune it.
-
its basically a wedge but there is a hump in the center.
here is a link to one just like it but the only difference is i have raised my seat so that i can fit alot bigger subs.

is it possible for a program to help design me a box for underneath the back seath of an extended cab chevy.
ive seen the programs that most people on here use but they all seem to make square boxes and that wont work for me.
ive never used any of the programs but i was jsut wondering if its possible or if anyone could help me out with this.

i like the player who the texans chose but i was wishing for a wide reciever

if this is towards me well it says you must have 150 to SELL something no where does it say you are not allowed to buy things from people if you do not have 150 post. If the 150 post is applied to the wanting to buy section well then it needs to say it also.
A mod deleted that guys message and replaced it with that, for him, not you.
oh okay i just overlooked who it was edited by
