Ground yes. It is possible to run them separately, but that means 2 bass knobs to worry about. And unless you have access to a DD1 and CC1, gain and crossover matching will be troublesome. I believe strapped they'll be double the power of a single 1500 at 2ohm. How much space do you have to work with?

A quick google brought me to this maybe itll help make since if your not getting a clear idea from how I described it. Also, strapped amps are only 2ohm stable. Oh, and you'd wire the subs to the master sk1500.1D. Keep in mind the ZVX subs are dual 2 and dual 1 ohm. So go accordingly with what would register a 2ohm load after being wired down to ensure stability with the amps.

Well all the sub amps, the sk1500d for instance has a master/slave option. We call this strapping. There's an output/input and a switch to set the amp to either master or slave. With the slave, if I'm not mistaken, you just need to run power and remote plus the "strap" which is a single RCA. Now the subs on the other head is where ohms law comes in to play. I've personally never strapped and wired subs up so I'm not going to lead you down that path of misinformation. Maybe someone else can chime in.. But are you limited on space, thus the choice of the 1500s?

When we place an order for a VVX lined woofer, can we request for a v1 or v2? Or are you guys planning on blowing through the V1 stock by the 20th?

Anyways, I'd hate to see someone take away my truck, even if it's just for a few days! I can't imagine how I would feel if I had as much time, money, and energy into it as you did, Steve! Definitely one of my favorite IS-F's out there.
He's flying out for the show. It's all about the setup I guess lol. And they offered so why wouldn't Steve take advantage of it? Saved gas > driving 400+ miles (guesstimation from his shop/house to the show).

hey hey now i have a DC Audio woofer thats been one of my soldiers for a few years now
I just put up a video giving away some Sundown for SOTM too. I have kickers, fishers (lol), and other misc brands on the shelf too. I just use whatever comes my direction. This SKAR woofer is really nice looking. I want to use it but i don't have anywhere to put it YET......i figured it could go to a home where someone would get some good use out of it and truly enjoy it. I will build something with SKAR products in the future, i just don't know what yet. In the meantime, i will make someone elses holiday better I'm working on an all around Skar project aside from the wiring, which just opened for preorder in 1/0awg and 4ga, deadener, and batteries ofcourse. Shouldn't be a bad little system in my hopes lol.

The only problem i ran into other then it being a PAIN IN THE ASS, was that the adjustable harness doesn't really work properly. The car is preventing it from changing i believe. I am working closely with Mechman to find out why. I sent them the stock alt and the harness back for some further research.
Any good news about the adjustable harness? I've been curious

Being an aluminum silk dome tweeter, they're a little harsh unless they're set on the -3db at the crossover.

Very nice set actually. I have two sets in my car and love them. Only suggestion is to hook the tweet up on the x-over at -3db. They scream lol

They mentioned the state law about Florida ruling that banning loud systems is unconstitutional, or along those lines. Does anyone think that will eventually transfer to other states?
There's a whole topic about this already. But I'd rather have the right to express myself, at the same time, I've still got the respect. People sleep around 10pm, turning it down in residentials and stoplights.. It won't change most of us, but the cops will find something else to hassle you on. SBN will still have its problems with the police.

But after researching the last few months, and drawing mockup plans, and a number of YouTube videos, hearing a lot of very good feedback about them here on SMD and a few other places, I've chosen to go with them the Vxxi's. Not the magic's, but part of my agreement with him was that I would not make it public beyond him showing the system to whom he chose :-), hopefully one day a video pop's up on YouTube, the install was pretty sweet. (4) VVX-15s on a SK-4500.1, (2) SK-85.4's on (4) Sets of VXI65's

Where you going to put the amps under the rear seat? Lemme brainstorm on this one. Strappings usually only done on bigger amps. But either case, the ZVXs are power hungry.
