  1. If you were talking about the link I followed it but was unable to find anything on his build.
  2. To build a 4th order don't I take the sealed specs for my sub for the sealed area then make my ported side twice to three times as large and then tune my port to like 40-45hz? In it's basic, basic, basic form, yes. It's much more than that to get it right. You can tune and tweek a 4th order for months and never get it right. Few people can throw one together and get perfect results without planning. Have you built a 4th order before? Nope this is a first. And I am going to figure things out before I build that's the reason for the discussion however I am willing to build and re-build to achieve my goal. If after all the posts I read and other peoples build Logs I have it figured out then I will be very happy. But the way I look at it you have to start somewhere. And getting a box built and tuned and testing it will be the only way to start figuring out exactly what I need. But I don't think I've seen a 4th order with the subs firing towards eachother??

  4. So I am building my box this weekend and still haven't really designed it. I am a just build it as I go kinda guy. But my real Problem is I don't think I have the depth I need to mount the subs facing forward or backward. So I am thinking about facing them towards eachother?? Any input would be appreciated.
  5. Well I'm no pro however every box I build where the subs share air space I take recommended ported box size and multiply it by number of subs. The three boxes I've built have turned out well. Could have been dumb luck. As far as porting I also went with manufacturers recommendations.
  6. All my experience with the newer kenwood head units have been ummm well not bad but they are just super slow. I couldn't stand the amount of time my 700$ deck took to change a song. However my single den flip out pioneer was much faster. My local shop said the new kenwood stuff is just slow. So I changed my other headunit over to a pioneer. Much happier.
  7. You should post how you like it once you get it. I have had my eye on that one for a couple weeks now. I like the layout kind of like the app headunit but much nicer. I was also glad to see they used 4v pre outs.
