So I have setup everything with my DD-1 but now my subs have maybe half as much bass as before, so my question is is that all my amps are capable of putting out with clean power?
check the crossover settings on your stereo, you might still have it on the highest freq,
Which would do what for his output?
i set mine today, and forgot to put the crossover in my hu back to thru, and my bass was maybe half than normal
I thought you were talking about which freq the LPF was set to, my bad.

Yeah, and the DD-1 isn't to make your system louder, it's to protect you and your property. Very well could be like you said, maybe that's as much clean output as your gear has if you set everything up right.
You should gain match too, but I doubt that'd make it ouder.
One other thing to check is that you didn't hook something up out of phase when you plugged everything back in,

That HU only has 2v preouts.
When you find your max clean HU volume, start with the subwoofer level all the way up on the Alpine and only back it down as necessary.
What are you wired to?
If your electrical isn't strong enough to support the demand your power can get dirty real quick.
-
How did you find your HU max volume, and which one do you have?
-
What track did you use?
-
Yeah thats right a 5k or less substage

Isn't the prize for SOTM a $450 Mechman credit?
Not sure if you are eligible OP, but that would be well worth it.

I know this is an old thread, but Cody has just a few of these left and I just snagged one. I wasn't one of the first 10 but it's still wort it, D'Amore website seems to have discontinued them so these could be the last few available for sell. Have to have one for a nifty little amp rack idea I have.

If gains are set right, enclosure is built right, those subs will be fine. Keep in mind, in a vehicle, on music, even the best amps don't put out rated power continuously. Clean power is key. How does the voltage do as of now in the Jeep?
Oh, and welcome to the Forum by the way. It's awesome to see father and son projects
