yea i never upgraded my alt, so i think its 80 amp. its a 05 matrix. just to make sure, where can i go to make sure my alt is 80 amp?

i actually had the same question as bassmachine. i just wanted to know what size fuse should i put between my battery+ to my alt+?? im using 1/0 awg and my fuse going from my battery to my batcap is 250amp. should i use a 250amp fuse from my batt+ to my alt+?? this is the first time im doin the big 3 and i dont want my car going up in flames

megalo, what rca's are you using? they must be ridiculously shielded if u have everything on one side and get no noise. i gotta pick me up a few of those. ive always used the RF's that steve used in his civic. they are awesome btw.

steve i live across the country and its unreal how much i have learned from you and you website, throught the forums and pics its almost as if i went to school for all of this. since becoming a loyal memeber to your site i have hooked up all my friends cars, flawlessly, and im having people from my neighborhood always callling me up to install their system. And the great thing is that all me setups are modeled after yours. I just have one question to ask? (i will understand if u dont wanna say b/c it might be personal, ur finances are none of my business) How do u fund this awesome hobby? T4000's, 18" RE's, tons of wire, fiberglass materials, etc... i jus would like to get a final answer on which side of the car wire should be run to eliminate road noise? i thought RCA's and speaker wire can go on the same side, and power wire and REM can go on the other side.

i was on batcap.net for a while and it seems simple to install. on their site it says to always fuse a power source. obviously i have a fuse going from the battery to the batcap, but do i need a fuse going from the batcap to the amp?

thanks guys.....i was tryin to look for replacement alts but with no luck. i think im goin to go the batcap route. now if i get a batcap, do those hook up jus like a regular cap would, or do i have to do somthing different?

well i wanna jus get one or the other for now, its a money issue with me. as of now i have 2 12" American Bass VFL's powered with the 200.1 VFL amp (2200rms @ 1ohm). Eclipse xa400.4 (100RMS X 4) for the components.

im a serious bass addict much like most people that visit here and i was wondering, i want more power and ive heard so many diff opinons on whether to get another battery or a bigger alt to power my system, what do u guys suggest i do. if the better way to go is another battery, how do i go about wiring it up? or, if the better way to go is a bigger alt where can i find one?
