  1. i mean ill be completely honest, i still have about 3feet of 0awg left that i could just use for the bc2k, fuse it and be done. but i wanted to salvage that last piece so i could just replaced my distribution block with a fuse holder and than use that extra 0awg to connect to the back battery. but than i would have to buy more 0awg from the battery to the amp anyways... so i think it was just me trying to be a cheap ass with this and just find a way to save wire. but it'll have a chance of biting me in the ass anyways so i think ill just use my current 0awg and save up for some more later. as the upgrade continues on.
  2. well im not going to be buying extra fuses since i already have it laying around. but in the future, im going to run 2 0awg from the front battery to a back battery and just have all the amps hooked to the rear battery. and thats when i would be having to buy more fuses and holders. thus me saying ill add them to the check list when i finish my upgrade
  3. i mean tbh, i ran the same exact set up with a MRP-M1000 and never had any problems. but i see where you're coming from SlamminSL1
  4. i appreciate your caution man. will definitely be putting more fuse holders and anl fuses on the check list.
  5. i ran an mrp-m1000 and that was 100rms less than the bc2k, but the alpine manual suggested a 100amp fuse with 4awg wire. i think that should be fine an a 10inch wire if it was fine on a 20ft run of 4awg.
  6. so, for this instance anyways(though it may not be ideal), fuse the 4awg from the distribution block to the amp? (100amp would suffice for a 1100rms load?) note* and i do have spare fuse holders and fuses laying around
  7. That's not too good. I'd invest in some wire and fuses if I where you man.And another battery. please explain why you think this is no good? Because you're running two amplifiers off of one run of 0ga. The Crescendo is going to pull serious amperage alone and you have another amplifier pulling some power at the same time. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but I'd rather be motherfucking safe than motherfucking sorry, especially when dealing with a nice amplifier like the 2K.Riddle me this; Is your distribution block fused? i'ev actually read numerous people who have owned the bc2k say it is extremely efficient on power, but neverless it is a 2k amp. and the distribution block itself isnt fused, just the 200amp fuse by the battery in the front.
  8. That's not too good. I'd invest in some wire and fuses if I where you man.And another battery. please explain why you think this is no good?
  9. true, but i am a bit broke atm. with a $1000 marching band fee im struggling to buy ANYTHING right now. but i will buy more 0awg after i buy a battery, subs and wood for an enclosure.
  10. uhh i lemme say this. i have 0awg run from the front to back, and a distribution block for my mono and 2 channel, the 8awg is about 1.5feet and the 4awg wire for the mono is like 10 inches.
  11. lol @ title. but anyways, i have just ordered a Crescendo 2k (please god say its 100% mechanically sound) but i am only going to be running it to 2ohms for the time being. the amp itself has 0awg inputs, but since im running it at 2ohms, would i be able to get away with using 4awg? (its 1100rms at 2 ohms)
  12. 2 level 3's with and without carbon fiber dustcaps 37135
  13. yup all in 0awg. sounds good, and what a steal from that FB post! imma sell my amp to my buddy and snatch that thing up pronto;). messaged him already
  14. you guys think i could get away with running this at 2 ohms(1100rms) with a stock 80amp alternator and a kinetik hc1800 under the hood?
  15. does anyone know where i can get a BC2000D brand newest, CHEAPEST?
  16. yeah box rise and stuff. but i've always been a DC person. but i still have a lot of time to decide, ill keep some SA's in mind too aha
  17. sounds good. i might wire it down to just 1 ohm and call it gucci. 2 12" DC level 3's sound like they would love to be paired with this 2k.
  18. thanks for the feedback guys. big thing that impresses me is how little voltage drop everyone claims they receive with this amp. the price is great compared to hundreds of other 2k amps, even brand new. (unless some1 has any other suggestions for a great 2k amp)
  19. sounds like a very efficient amp. im amped to get one now haha, no pun intended.
  20. helpful. thanks, and after i sell my stuff i'll be saving up for some batteries aha
  21. yeah i was thinking the same, ill most likely need another atleast 1400 in the back.
  22. it is an 80amp. :[ small Toyota electrical system yeah i have the big three done in 0awg and a run of 0awg to the back(distributed into 4awg and 8awg for my mono+2chann) i could just replaced the distro block with a fuse holder to put the battery back in the trunk.
  23. hey so im thinking of upgrading to a Crescendo 2000d amp not entirely sure which subs i want to be running with it yet though. so what do you guys think about this amp? does it do rated? does it blow easily? is it a power hog? also do you think i could get away with a stock alternator with a Kinetik 1800 under the hood and a Kinetik HC2400 in the trunk?
