I know some are equipped with a security wire and when you switch out the factory HU for the new HU you don't use that wire. My guess is that it's something like that. I don't know what else could be effecting your cluster gauge that much. What is it doing exactly?

Did you use the correct wiring harness, needs to be a GMos. Bose aren't normal, if you don't do it the right way with the right harness you will get electrical issues out the ass

wrong harness in my case made demo mode turn on every time car started

  2. Kranny, Im pretty sure the ground is good but i guess i could try another one if I can find one. Its scraped down to bare metal and the metal itself is pretty thick. And Im pretty sure that my heat sensor is throwing off the gauge cluster sporadically. I know that temp sensor is bad so i just disconnected it for now and we'll see if that clears up the gauge problem. i also disconnected the amp and was still having gauge problems. Im hoping that they are unrelated.
  3. it was scraped down to bare metal.... not sure how to upload a pic of the ground on here
  4. If the ground was bad, would that cause it to overheat? Im also getting gauge cluster issues now too.
  5. It has always been a 2 ohm load, for years
  6. I pulled my amp and subs out of my old car that i sold, put them into a Nissan Maxima GLE and now the amp is overheating. Plenty of space to breath, even turned down the gain, bass boost, everything.... and to no avail it will go into protection mode after slamming it for about 15 min. I got two JL 12WX's in a sealed box with an older Memphis amp bridged and subs running in parallel at 2 ohms. Why did this work in my old car, and now not in my new car? Any help would be appreciated.
