  1. As I understand it these are BNIB and even come in a metal case??? 70Ah rating and I guess they retail for over $500. My question is What would be a good price on these??? I need to know what I can sell them for... pretty much to see if its worth my time...
  2. I wonder if anyone would be intrested in purchasing some of these, I may be able to get a bunch of them...
  3. I may be picking up some of these batterys if you guys say they are any good. http://www.enersysreservepower.com/product...0&brandID=3 Here are the specs on the model I am looking at. Description:Lead Acid, XE70X 12 Volt / 68.0Ah Short Circuit Current (A): 3500, 12.94 x 6.54 x 6.85 , Weight:59lbs, RoHS Compliant: NA.
  4. Ok, so Im thinking of maybe running a saz-3000 at 2 ohm, until I get my new batteries and alt. then changing to .5 ohm. I hope these things dont blow up, I guess I can always get a recone kit for them
  5. I drive a 93 chevy K1500 4x4 short bed reg. cab. Its tight wilth 3 amps and two 10s in a ported box
  6. Well I already have a custom made battery tray and I would like to get two D2400 to replace my optimas and still use my tray. I see that two D2400 have a higher combind Ah rating of 174 and one D3100 has a Ah rating of 117 so Im a ssuming I would be better off buying the two D2400s?
  7. ok so Im running 2) clarion 2x50 amps for mids and highs, and I will be running a new amplifier for my woofers, I think I am going to run a saz-2000 @.5ohm or maybe even a aq-3500. Everyoine says I need the proper electrical to do this so what do I need to do? I currently have a 140 amp alternator, stock battery under the hood, #2 going to two optimayellow tops (probably dead) ,then #1/0 to a 5 farad lanzar opticap. My lights would dim hard with my last amplifier at high volumes. I believe my optimas are shot so I am looking to replace them soon. I also know I need a 300amp alternator and, multiple runs of 1/0 going to my aux. batteries. I already have a bullet proof ground system so I think Im go there. So, does anyone have any input on what more I will need to do to run a true 5000 watt setup?
  8. Well, the 12s are much bigger than my 10s. I think they can handle 2K daily if a 12can handle 3.5K
  9. I am wondering how much my 2) Orion HCCA 10.2 can take daily. I was running them on an old Earthquake PH-D2 2000w@2ohm and It beat pretty good but I know they can take a lot more than that. So what can they take beating hard daily??? will they do 2000w each? They are in a 2.5^3 single enclosure thats tuned to around 35hz
  10. I see on the specs they list is as capable of running 2 channels at 1ohm each. Is this safe to do on this amp?
  11. I have 2 orion HCCA 10.2 subwoofers, I had an Earthquake PH-d2 2000w/1. I believe my subs can handle 1500w each daily, I would like to get an amplifier thats not too expensive and will put at least 1000w to each sub. Anyone have any ideas? I also wonder if I could run my subs at .5ohm for daily use. I realize I need to find an amp that is .5ohm stable. I thought about buying this hifonics and running it stereo but, both subs are in one common enclosure, will running an amp and subs in stereo screw anything up because of the common enclosure? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9356_H...V-COLOSSUS.html I am also considering an MMats D3500.1 and running it at .5ohm daily, any thoughts on that option??
  12. You need to start systematically ruling each component out! I would start with the sub, get one that can handle your amp and try to replicate the problem. If it doesn't do it then you know your Sub is F'ed. I would spend money on replacing components when you dont know if they are the culprit, you can waste lots of money doing it that way.
  13. Well, I put a subsonic filter on this program and it brings my air velocity down to 152 ft/s with the filter at 30Hz. With the filter at 37Hz the velocity is down to 127 ft/s I have the 37Hz subsonic filter built into my Line driver but with my enclosure tuned to 36Hz I know I dont want to run that high of a freq. on my subsonic.
  14. well, I am so limited in size ,im pretty much screwed. I figured that would be too much. In order to bring that down I would have to double the size of my port which would put my port length at like 40" which would be impossible for my size constraints. I hate being limited to size!
  15. So I am using WinISD Alpha enclosure software. It shows a great output gain on my new vented enclosure verses my way too small sealed enclosure. I am however worried about the Air Velocity of the port. I am very limited on space so I had to only use 24 Sq. Inches of port space for my 2) Orion HCCA 10.2. They are getting 2000W between the two woofer. Orions dimensions called for only 18 Sq Inches so I figured 24 would be better. The WinISD program shows a port velocity for my vented encolsure of 187 ft/s at 35Hz. Is this too much Port velocity?? Per Orions dimensions I get 238 ft/s of port velocity. Since I am much lower than the Orion design I am sure this would be better but is 187 ft/s a lot of port velocity or what? I just dont know what # is good or bad
  16. OK, those were about the numbers I was getting with my program. I will however make my port larger. Probably go with a 2"x12" slot so that would put me a 24 sq, inches. You say 20+ for Each sub? Orion says 9 sq. inches for 1 sub at 1.2^3 so I was going to shoot for about that volume. 24 sq. inches sounds better to me, this will be one port for both woofers. do you think that will be still too small? I have very limited space so a 2" port may be as big as I can go. Thanks for your input.
  17. You're not going to find anything cheaper that can handle 3k ALL DAM DAY
  18. One more question I have is what port area should i be shooting for with these subs and enclosure?
  19. It seems like my WinISD program is more accurate because I entered a shitload more information about my enclosure and all the thiele/small from my subs
  20. I've tried this one and I really don't like it because the port length is set at a certain length, does this mean that the paticular port length they have is optimal and I just need to adjust the port width to find my tuning Hz?
