I wish people wouldn't believe the size of the sub decides what frequencies it can produce -.-

Well, not "technically" I suppose. But it definitely plays a large part, since any speaker can produce the sound wave, but it's whether or not it's audible to the human ear. So the size is pretty key there, unless you have massive excursion it's a little easier to go with the bigger cone.
