If you really want to know what it is, send the woofer over to me and I'll pull the specs for you
Well the specs were just loaded up today I think. So if this thread doesn't get me the clarification I need. Or if it was just an honest mistake it's all good. I really like the specs on this woofer so it'll probably not be too big a deal. I would just like to know it before I buy.
-
Just look at the specs - they are very different woofers. Don't get so hung up about it lol
Yeah but a Qms that low? As in below 1??
-
I was looking at the the T/S for the new releases by Skar to go into a T-line build and I was wondering if the Qms was really what is stated or am I just reading it wrong. I am really interested in getting this new woofer but am holding back until I understand this mishap.

Okay I am going to do a build in my single cab '03 Sierra in between the seats. The seats are 40-20-40 so the space in between each bucket seat is 11.9" The box will be 11.5" wide.
You figure that by taking a measuring tape and measuring it from the edge of one seat to the other, how close to the front of the cab from the rear wall you want to go, and how high you want the box to be.
Being only a single 10" you will probably have a much easier time not taking out the seats to put in a box as your center console and just stick it behind the seats.
-
That is probably the reason behind almost all of your problems. Get the SD-2 12's or SA-12's. Depending on where you get your subs the SA's aren't that much more and are a level higher up on the line.
-
I have OFC 4 AWG power and grounds. Amp is the Rockford Fosgate R1000.1D. Prime series. Don't even know if it is putting out true wattage really. It came with a birthsheet of 1083 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. I don't get any movement or output of the subs unless the gain is at 9 out of 11 either.
If the birthsheet says it is putting out that much I would trust it coming from Rockford. If you aren't sure then you can always test it yourself if you have the tools. The subs not moving could have also resulted in the lack of air space, not sure but might have been it.
For you to get it to wire to 2 ohm you need to buy (two) 2 ohm subwoofers and wire it down like this.
-
If you make your own box you'll get a much better overall sound. Get those SD-2 12's and put them in there on a good amp and you'll be more then satisfied with the results.
Even if you don't get a new amp you'll notice a huge difference in the quality of the bass your getting. But if you do get one make sure you do some research on the electrical stuff you need to do to stay safe. There are plenty of thread on hear to help you out, and if you ever get lost or need some clarification don't hesitate to ask for help. The people hear will always try to help you and get everything done right.
-
You should be fine with those dimensions. Having a single cab myself I know how hard it is to make boxes bigger to fit back in that small of a space.
-
Make sure when you make your box(s), presuming that you make sealed boxes, 1.1 cubic feet total to make up for the driver displacement. Or 2.2 cubic feet if you put both in the same box.
-
A custom box is almost always going to sound better then prefab.

When you get it working I'll do the Co-op with ya if you need someone to, since i haven't done them yet.

Is your cab a 40-20-40 seat Arrangement? If so I have a build I made a while ago for another member on here that fits in the 11.5" space inbetween the two bucket seats and replaces the folding third seat / console.
It's for 3 e8-v3s but shouldn't change much with the difference in displacement of the two subs.
Edit: I'm on stupid mobile and didn't see you said box is built
