  1. First computer ever was a 1998 Compaq given to me by my grandfather in 2003. 380MHz AMD K6-2 and 64MB. I actually put Windows XP on it after a RAM upgrade... First computer I bought myself was a refurbished Apple iBook in 2006. Lasted a year, and the GPU burned up. Miserable PoS. And now I have a kick-ass rig with a 2700k i7, 16GB, dual GTX560s, and some SSDs in RAID.
  2. Got mine installed this morning. I'll get a video later. (iPhone won't record while playing audio through my HU) I mounted it to a piece of "craft plywood" that I cut to fit in place of the storage pocket in my console. I have one SPDT toggle on the remote wire to switch between ignition-on and always-on, and another SPDT toggle on the sense wire which (once I run the wire) will let me read voltage at the battery as well as from my amp rack.
  3. Got mine ordered too. Good thing I had email updates to this thread enabled, with only 100 they're gonna go quick.
  4. I'm buying one of these for my car as soon as they're available. Don't care how expensive it is. Not only it is practical, but the cool factor is off the charts!
  5. Discovered Meade's YouTube this past summer while looking at videos of people's systems, trying to decide what sub to put into my Ford Escape. I ended up watching most of his videos, and then perusing the forum for a while. I just completed most of the build in my sig, and figured I'd finally join up and post a build log of sorts. Not trying to compete with the big boys, just wanted some beat on a budget (which is sort of important for a college student.) I'll be putting together a thread over in member rides at some point soon.
