  1. My gf has 2 E8v3's in a ported box. I believe 1.5ish cubes tuned to 35Hz. She listens to country, rap, hip-hop, dub step, rock, pretty much everything. To me they sound great. They hit the lows very well, especially for 8's and are definitely punchy for rock and country. I have a single SA-12 in a 2 ft^3 box at 32Hz and it sounds amazing as well. I would assume that the SA-10's would perform quite similar to the SA-12. IMO I would go with 4 8's though. It would sound very clean in the proper box and will definitely get loud.
  2. What kind of amp, sir? Apline PDX M12. Says in the first post I'm guessing I can't if its only 2 and 4 ohm stable but I may as well ask and find out.
  3. Also as far as wiring goes, I know my amp puts out 1200 rms @ both 2 and 4 ohms. So with my two W3's which are single 4's I just wired them parallel to 2 ohms. Now with either set up, is it alright to wire to 1 ohm or will it be bad for my amp?
  4. I mostly listen to rap and a bit of electro/dubstep with the occasional rock.
  5. I find many people on hear say cone is king. So by having more cone area and in this case more drivers, what benefits are being gained? Is it more efficient as in it is easier for more air to be pushed by more surface area?
  6. I don't use my trunk often and it's a 4 door sedan so space shouldn't be too big of a deal. Just getting to the spare tire if need be come to think of it..
  7. Hello I'm new on here and I'm looking to get some new subs for the spring. I currently have 2 JL audio 10w3v3's running off an Alpine PDX M12. I'm actually fairly happy with the set up but just looking for something different and a project to work on in the spring. I don't do competitions so numbers aren't really my concern but I still like to listen loud on occasions. So I have my eyes on either 2 Sa8v2's or 4 E8v3's as either set up meets both the 1200 watts power I have and around a $400 budget for the speakers. I'm sure ill be happy with either sub, so I'm not necessarily looking for which is louder or which will sound better, but what are some considerations to having 4 subs since I've already played around with having two? any suggestions or thoughts in this? Thanks -Cam
