  1. Steve I didn't say you called me a Noob... I called myself one... I have never worked with resin or fiberglass before so if there is an easy way to do it then I am all for it... Just not sure if the post office will let it ship here... I saw the video that you made the other day and was blown away how easy you made it look... So I think it is something I could even do with out making too big of a mess...

  2. I know it might be a small area coverage but do you think this might work? it is in the same range as the panel you have.

i have no idea. Try it :D

i would say that it all depends on how intense it is and if it is between 385-410nm it will work.

I would if I can get some shipped in... Not sure if it can be mailed here or not :( And as for the Noob comment, yep that's me never glassed anything yet...

  3. Aren't you charging too high for your car? Lol
    Just curious

Car could be on one voltage (stock alt) and have a secondary alt with higher voltage just feeding the amp... I did it for years on the CB... 12-14v for the truck and 16-21v for the amps I was running... As long as you keep your second charging system isolated you are good...

  4. Great info and like the test... Might change a few peoples minds about using them...

Changed my mind when I saw the evidence lol. Now I can do what I wanted to do when I originally thought it up, which was to put 2 caps on each of my amps. I think my thread about that is still around...

But i think the debate is still going to be "How fast you can recharge them" And then as the data shows in one test the 1F was the better choice and the other one the 100F was... but in either case it helped... I am not an electrical engineer nor do I claim to know everything, but i think the caps help because the slew(reaction) time of the battery is slower then the reaction time of the cap... and just like your alternator is slower than your battery to provide on demand power... So depending on your application a cap MAY help...
