  1. I just got a Samsung 61" DLP 1080p Slim-Depth Television and hooked it up to my new PS3. Also, I got a Monster Cable HDMI 300 and M1000 cable. Everytime I start playing a game I always get these green, red and blue pixels flickering and white pixels when I watch a DVD or Blue-Ray Disc. I've checked all the settings and they are all right. When the system is in XMB mode there is nothing and is picture perfect clear. The TV works fine with a regular DVD player and HD Cable Television.

    Has anyone experienced this problem?

I e-mailed Sony and they want me to try a Sony licensed cable.

  2. its the green /white wire at the radio harness

Thanks for the info. I was working with the older Pioneer Avic-9DVD unit and I still can't seem to get it working. I keep getting a message on the monitor when I put the MAP DVD in saying, " DISC READING DATA" and thats all it does. I put an Audio CD in and it works. I'm not that familiar with Navigation systems. I'm pretty sure its the DVD. Are you familiar with nav. units?

  3. I got a ticket on Memorial Day and I never knew how much it was going to cost until yesterday. He pulled me over for having a loud stereo and called it a "City Ordinance Violation/Misdemeanor" and when he looked inside he gave me another ticket for having a TV in View/Civil Infraction. I told him that the TV was a Back Up Camera Monitor and he did see that it was used for that but he still said that it was supposed to be off while driving. I hired a lawyer for $500 because the loud stereo ticket puts about 2 or 3 points on my driving record so I have to go to court for that soon. As for the TV the lawyer is going to try to knock it off. All of this and it doesn't even include how much I have to pay for the ticket or the court costs.

The bad thing about this whole situation was that I had the volume at about half the volume and wasn't even that loud. I would of felt better if I had it on full tilt. It was the end of the month and the city needed to make money quick so they were just pulling everyone over for most bs violations.

  4. A couple of days ago, I was a stop light and I had it up about half way and this guy probably in his 40s signaled me to put it down. As soon as I put it down he said, " Do you know that's fuckin' annoying you asshole?" Little did he know that the volume was half way up. I thought he was going to tell me what do I have in there or something else less profane. That pissed me off so what did I do next, I cranked it up to full tilt and just smiled at him. Then his eyes almost popped out and put up his window. Next, he picked up his phone and was dialing some #s and I just took off. I don't usually crank it up that much at a light. Whenever I see old people or babies in the back seat I turn the bass down.

As far as my neighborhood is concerned, they never know when I'm coming home because I turn it down a few blocks away. My own neighbors have never heard it and were watching me build it last summer in my garage. Some people are just quick on calling the cops for some reason. They don't know how to ask us to put it down.

  5. I love old school and tweed..AWWHHH..Those were the days..Well you guys different is good.I can remember back in 1990 or 1991..There was this guy where I live who had an old Cavilier with 12 Pioneer 12's...The one's with the Gold Pioneer Logo's..On Pioneer Gmh-100's amps..These pictures remind me of that setup..How many of you Young Bucks can remember back then??

Speaking of the old school Pioneer GMH-100, I still have a Pioneer GMH-50 in my garage. My older brother bought it in 1990 and had it in a 1990 Chevrolet Berreta Indy (Official Pace Car) to a couple of 10" Kicker Contenders (old school too) in an enclosure that had the two subs on one side and two passive radiators on the other side. Come to think of it, those passive radiators had a square shape to them. Wow! I think thats where they got the Solo Baric Squares concept. It hasn't been sold because it was the very first car amp any of my family members have ever bought.

  6. i dont think i saw any build pics before......gotta say that is some really nice craftsmenship!! Great install! I always like to see which direction someone took a car thats just like mine. :D

Well, coming from a person named Steve Meade that really means a lot. Besides you having this site up and growing each day you have become an inspiration to many people. Keep up the good work and I'll be looking forward to your installs and everyone else's. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to show off my work on your site.

Also, it should be featured in Car Audio and Electronics soon. I've been reading that mag for over 15 years and its been a dream of mine to be featured in it.

  7. Since others have answered your questions on relays maybe I can give you some ideas on distributing the wires to the amps or whatever your power needs are for low current components. Here is what I did for the center console and my accessories rack underneath my rear seat.

All the yellow wires: Anything with 12v + Contstant

All the black wires : - Ground

All the red wires : 12v + Acc.

All the blue wires : From a relay which is the remote turn on from the radio

  8. For some odd reason, this forum always attracts positive people who are willing to teach and learn from each other. I've really never looked at any other forums and I don't think there is a need to IMO. I am totally against trash talking someone's system and will never do it. When I was 16 and had my very first stereo system my wires were all over the place and I was still geeked because it sounded good. A lot of people still come to me for advice and I am always will to help someone out and guide them in the right direction. We got a lot of patience here and it shows because most of the questions are all the same and everyone is always willing to answer that. That shows you that you can but a bunch of people together and get along from all over the world.
