the subs are dual 4 ohm bridged - to - + to + and then bridged at the amp. so thats what 1 ohm or 2 ohm ? i have 1/0 wire ran to the back then at a splitter 4g to both amps.i did the big 3. could it be possable my amp is going out?

that was another thing i was thinking. the box was going in a 2000 explorer but the seller decided to keep it after i started the box. :mad: it barley fits in my trunk

its weird all winter it never got hot, now when it gets 85 it got hella hot. i couldnt even touch it.

ok my trunk is pretty sealed and my amp is under the back deck there is some air getting to is but i noticed that now that the weather is getting warm my amp is also. i went and bought a pretty big 12v fan from radio shack to wire with my amp will that help keep it cool? the reason i ask is when i play songs that hit real hard it will get warm and shut off. you can kind of see where it is in the picture

the sub area is a little over 3 cubes even with the port. the box is huge edit: ok i think im wrong where the first part of the port starts the magnet is like 5 or so inches from there.... oh well it hits hella hard. if i blow them ill throw the box away and get another one it was only 2 sheets

i have never heard of polyfil. what is it and what will it do?

the center divider stops half way out. i had a guy help me that knows a little about building boxes. he said the port was 2in and 40in long. it hits insanely hard i was just wondering if it will hurt my subs. he said wouldnt the only thing it changes it instead of the 35 hertz its now like 30 hertz

but i have a question the box is for 2 type r 15s its 3 cubes each sub 6 cubes total. it was suppose to have a 27 inch port each. somehow i ended up with close to a 40 inch port each. is that bad ???

knukoncepts wants almost double the price and i have to wait for it to be shipped. with the 2 brands i mentioned i just have to drive 40 mins to Sacramento and pick it up. i hate to wait i have been without a system for almost a month now im having withdraws

has any one used the tsunami 1/0 wire before? i was looking and i can get 50 feet of it for 131.14 or i can get 50 feet of streetwire for 160 ? does anybody know which of the 2 are better?

this is going to be my second box with no knowledge at all. my first one ended up being 2 sheets of mdf and 1 bottle of glue donated to the dump buy it was a mess!

im finally ready to build a box. i just picked up some more alpine type r 15s (got jacked for the last ones) but they are not going in my crown vic im putting them in my 98 explorer. i found the specs on their web site http://support.alpine-usa.com/products/doc...M_SWR-1542D.PDF page 4 how do i go about building a box to those specs? i listen to mostly rap some r&b and oldies. should i go ported or seales what should the box be tuned to ?im not really sure. can someone help?
