  1. i have my dual 4 ohm 15" alpine type r subs i had a person tell me they cant be wired at 1 ohm i called alpines tech support the guy there told me i couldnt drop them to 1 ohm only a 2ohm load. i got a dmm touched the leads to the wire it read 1.2 on both subs. is there something wrong? each coil is - to - +to+ and 1 wire from each coil then both subs connected together at the amp.

  2. i have, a local shop use to sell them, but they are overrated (even the shop owner told me that) and theres no way u will see anything close to 4k out of that amp

i was thinking the same just thought i would ask i found one for 259 + 14 shipping. thought it was to good to be true

  3. why do you want to go from a 2300 watt amp to a 1000 watt amp? Typically the audiobahn amps are very overrated, but it cant be that far off. The 16-PR1.1000 is memphis cheaper line so I wouldnt say that you would gain anything. Unless the ratings on the Audiobahn are totally bogus. Does it not sound loud enough right now? If you want more power, there are alot more options

everyone keeps saying its not pushing close to 2300 watts.

  4. It is for Zapco but can be used on nonzapco products too.

What it does is it converts an analog signal into a Balanced signal, thus eliminating any floor noise from signal. If you dont have a Zapco amp at the other end you will need 2 symbilink transmitters to convert it twice( one at the source from analog-to-balanced, then at the amp balanced-to-analog).

Really only reason to go balanced is to get rid of noise, if you dont have noise you are wasting money.

btw i make Symbilink cables(just the din cables)

somebody gave it to me i didnt know what the hell it was neither did the guy. i figured what the hell its free im sure one of the guys on smd would know what it is :D
