  1. from a quick google search which led to a find on ebay... this is what it states.

SLB-R4 (4 channel) to receive the balanced signal and convert it so your standard amp can have the advantages of the SymbiLink System.

The SLB-R4 allows the system to drive two amplifiers from a single receiver and still maintain any fading functions.

    4-Channel Balanced Line Receiver

    · Allows any system to recognize SymbiLink™ Balanced technology.

    · Creates a closed, balanced system using a SymbiLink™ Balanced transmitter

    · Quality ZAPCO construction

** Designed and Manufactured in the USA **

Basically allows an amp to learn some kind of newer technology?

so is it just for zapco products?

  2. why is it that people on here hate audiobahn ? has everyone really had that bad of an experience or are they just jumping on the bandwagon because so and so has a bad ass system and they hate audiobahn? please dont take this as a smart ass question im just wondering? i have a audiobahn hcx2300 amp its not the best amp in the world but i mean there is worse that never get mentioned

  3. not hard at all.. take off the inside door cover usually 9 screws. then you unhook the lever that goes from the door handle to the locking mechanism. take out the 2 small bolts that hold that door handle in place.

then once the door handle is out get some scrap metal and a bench grinder. hold the metal up to the hole where the door handle use to be, and see how much you need to shave off that peice of metal. then start grinding a little and go back to fit that peice.. it is a lot of grind and compare.. once it fits inside that hole tack it inplace. I never weld it completely cause the door will heat up and you can warp it. also wreck your paint job..

then i get some fiberglass and bondo to cover it.. sand it smooth.. and primer it. to see high and low spots.. and keep sanding.. once you are close to where you want it i use a fine sand paper to get me the rest of the way and then to smooth the look :) then primer it so you arent looking at fiberglass or bondo and you are done.

then you have to hook up a door popper to open the doors.

how hard is it to hook up a door popper ?

  4. A friend of mine wants me to put a system in his 98 crown vic later this year probably just like 1 or 2 12s

i would talk him into going with a 15. unless you know of a bad ass 12. i went through 2 12 7500 mtx with 2 ta7801 then 2 8500 12s,2 alpine type r 12s 2 audiobahn aw1208t 12s with a hcx2300, all in custom boxes and they would not hit at all . my alpines hit hard now i has 1 ta7801 it was doing ok then i got jacked and bought 2 more type r 15s and just put my audiobahn back.

  5. Its gonna be a lot louder in the backseat of course.

The box looks solid bro. Not bad for someone starting off. You definately could do some tricks to get it louder but, the bottom line its hard to get all the junk in the trunk to come forward and hit like a hatch or SUV type vehicle.

thanks i had some help from a friend also, so if i put it in the back should i still fire back?or front? im working on getting a suv. it hits pretty good for a trunk system but nothing like a hatch or suv. i put them in my buddys 98 explorer and holly hell it hit hard.

  6. ok i built a box for my 15s. subs and port firing back. the port and subs are like 7 or 8 inches from the back of the trunk

will it sound good if i take out the back seat and put the box in there? i know most of you are going to say just build a wall. but right now i cant. i use the back seats sometimes until i buy a 3rd vehicle. and get better subs and amp
