i would tune lower for daily and higher for spl depending on what your car peaks at.
35 - 40 hertz will work great for daily.
40 is as high as i would go though if i ever decided to tune my box that high.
i see. how do i get the 80 square inches of port?

with 80 square inches of port.i had a guy tell me to go 40 hertz what does that do? also its for more daily use not spl.

im finally ready to build a box. i just picked up some more alpine type r 15s (got jacked for the last ones) but they are not going in my crown vic im putting them in my 98 explorer. i found the specs on their web site http://support.alpine-usa.com/products/doc...M_SWR-1542D.PDF page 4 how do i go about building a box to those specs? i listen to mostly rap some r&b and oldies. should i go ported or seales what should the box be tuned to ?im not really sure. can someone help?

the wire with the blue connector is the yellow w/black stripe
this is the whitew/brown stripe that says rem. out.
does this look right?

I do know Alpine video though
im lost on my alpine im talking to jack to see if he will relocate my ac unit to where my deck goes i have to find a time to hook up with him. but as far as the alpine it has different wires than the manual. as far as the amp i want to spend around 300 - 400 or wait a couple more weeks and save some more money.

i just bought some more alpine type r 15s (last ones got jacked) dual 4ohm so im going to run them at 2 ohms i thinks that what i can run them at? i am going to have 2 15s not sure what wattage i can run to them they say theyre 750 rms and 2000 max

this deck is a pain in the ass to use i cant find the treble sub control or any of that stuff all i can find is the bass fader and thats all. :mad: i just have to tweak on it for a little while i guess.

I don't think the TR-4 will do ya. I think thats just a low volt trigger. it's the Old TR-6 or the new TR-7. I could be wrong.
i dont know why i put tr-4 i meant tr-7

No the only difference is the black box can be turned off to keep it from triggering the signal, while the TR-7 does it automatically every time.
there is a shop on hazle that has the tr-4 for 39 i think im going to get it today. hopefully i can hook it up my self.

maybe you or the shop forgot to grab the alpine black box i dont know why yours dont have it
i just hooked up the deck it all works but when i try to put in a dvd it says screen of for my safety or something like that so im just going to buy that bypass thing. do one of you guys know where i can find one less than ebay they have one for $48.00. also what is the difference between the PAC TR-7 and the alpine black box?

wtf! i looked at that manual and the deck an3 there is 3 wires that i dont have. i had it in my yukon a couple years ago when i traded it in i cit the wires put the stuff in a box and forgot about it until the other day.

no the only wires i have are red,yellow,black,the purple ones,green ones,gray ones,white ones,blue with wite stripe,solid blue then where the rca wires come out i have a yellow with black stripe and a white with brown that says rem out.

this is going to be my second box with no knowledge at all. my first one ended up being 2 sheets of mdf and 1 bottle of glue donated to the dump
buy it was a mess!
