  1. I read this thread yesterday........ Did you got out and buy all the tools too? If so, thats the way to do it jump right into it. LOL

Thats a Crown Victoria? That trunk is huge guys. Its the same body as a Lincoln Town Car. 41" is defiately possible.

if you were asking me if i went and bought the tools yes i did just the sander router and skill saw well the one attached to a small table.

  2. He needs basic box building skills befo attemping a blow threw this is a great step foward for him in audio I bet after be gets more familar with wood We will see something crazy from him he gots the heart

thanks i have always been into car audio but i have also always had to pay shops a shit load of money i use to go to fair oaks electronics in sac to get my shit done though. but looking at the crazy shit on here i want to try and do something with my car. :)

  3. You will want to try to "save" or collect your mdf sawdust so you can mix it with wood glue to make some nice (cheap) wood paste to fill in over the screw heads.

    ...Flexstone paint = "pimp".....

    Oh yea "Rio Linda" :P

This in A LOT trickier than it looks.

The measurements stated are the max dims for "the big open area" in the trunk....

It's a crown vic, so there's the "lil shelf" area up under the rear deck (where ur amp rack was origionally) and then there's a "big open area" farther back after the drop off/step down.

The only way I see to really maximize this setup is custom build it so it fires or breathes through the rear deck and get the pressure into the car rather than just in the trunk with minimal blow through.

You're still trying to pressurize the trunk if you build another box like the one you have and port or subs up/back/sidways isn't really gonna make a diff you're still fighting an uphill battle until you remove the trunk airspace from the equation IMO.

But I already said all that in PM...I don't know why you're still gonna go about it the way the current box is "having no idea what you're doing" w/ regards to building it....

I guess if you feel you can swing it go for and it'll be a major learning experience.

I will always offer any tech support I can... and Mr. Giant SUV w/ 16 subs (Kingsuv) Knows a thing or 2 about pressurizing a lotta air and sometimes seeing minimal gain upfront.

    Good luck Bro.

really i just want to do this hoping to learn something. everyone is talking about how fun it is.

  4. 1 and 5/8 is what I use for screws also and never take the screws out of your box unless your going to throw it away

I would also buy 4 inch round pvc pipe if you have problems with a slot port

After you know how big it is post the diamentions so we can tell you port length to tune the box

46" from left to right x 41" high x 32" from back and thats if i even measured it right
